What can I use to even out skin tone (red nose and checks) but gives very light or no coverage?

Stila Poreless Putty foundation is quite good, and you can use just a little of all you want is to even out skin tone.

I like No 7 BB cream, which is more like a tinted moisturiser. I have very fair skin and their 'fair' looks too dark from the tube, but blends really well for a very natural make-up free look, it doesn't cake on dry skin either. It has some spf, but you apply so thinly I imagine it doesn't do anything.

La Roche Possay do a nice light moisturiser with spf 20 www.laroche-posay.co.uk/hydraphase-uv-intense-light and I put that on every day in the spring/summer.

Favourite product for this is a Sensai bronzing gel product, that evens out skintone, has a tiny amount of sunscreen, and can be used blindfolded as it blends into skin and never leaves a trail. It's light and sheer to the point of invisibility. Note, it has an alcohol base, so if your skin is very dry it may not suit.

Sadly, Harrods are the only UK stockist, and the P&P charges are extortionate, BUT it is still worth it. A dab of powder on the T zone, then eyes and lips, is all that I need.

I mix a drop of foundation in mattifying suncream

Chantecaille Just Skin is lovely.

Another suggestion for Laura Geller,I have her blusher and bronzer, they last for ages. I did have balance and brighten but lost it.

Clinique anti blemish B.B. cream. Don't be put off by the name. It's brilliantly light. Barely there. Just lovely. Covers the red. Matte skin,.. No need for powder. I love it.

I use fake tan on my face in summer. It justs adds a bit of a glow.

IcelandicWarriors · 11/05/2018 07:08

Thank you for all the replies. Been googling and think I'll start by mixing the Bobby Brown BB cream I have into sun cream.

Also have larger pores, I use Pur correcting primer M&S sell it. Only thing I use on top of moisturiser, I have the illuminate and glow type

picklemepopcorn · 11/05/2018 07:20

There's an Avon cream, has an X in the name, gives a lovely velvet finish and evens everything out. No colour. Also, some beads like bronzing beads only in pearlised pink, white, green, yellow a d lavender. They even out the tone as well. Cheap and cheerful, but effective.

IcelandicWarriors · 11/05/2018 21:37

So BB cream and sun cream still gave me massive pores. Brought a primer and tinted moistutiser No. 7 and primer looked ok as did the tint but still sunk into poors which was visible close up. Is that how it is meant to look? Never wear face makeup.

Pores

picklemepopcorn · 11/05/2018 21:55

The Avon one is called Magix primer. I'll have a look and see what it does to large pores tomorrow.

tobee · 12/05/2018 00:51

I have large pores. Someone recommended maybelline dream matte mousse to cover pores. I think it works really well.

However, I picked up from Lisa Eldridge YouTube videos to just use bits of foundation, corrector, concealer etc where it needs it. So I use tinted moisturiser or just a glowy highlighter for most of my face and then a little splodge of the maybelline on the bits wear my pores are obvious.

cardoon · 12/05/2018 07:26

estee lauder

HoneyDragon · 12/05/2018 10:16

Where are your pores particularly large? If around your nose eye primer works wonders.

bonzo77 · 12/05/2018 10:21

Bourjois cc cream. I cannot wear foundation or concealer or B.B. cream. They sit in my fine lines and pores and dry my skin out. This stuff is the business. I just put it where I need it, not all over.

Glossier Perfecting Skin Tint is great to even out the skin and has light coverage. There's 10% off with the link bff.glossier.com/hB8q9
