Wide feet - help!

Hello!
I have the most ridiculously wide feet. They’re about 5 in length but almost as wide as they are long....(glam I know) does anyone have any recommendations for sliders/summer sandals that might fit me? Good brands?

Evans do a range that you have a wider fit.

BikeRunSki · 01/05/2018 06:55

Birkenstock - their standard fit is quite wide, and they also do a wide fit.
I was also delighted to find that Saltwater Sandals fit me too!

I am a 9 and a wide fit in Clark’s. Most other high street shoes don’t fit me at all.

Hotter. And they do the occasional nice style.

Primotomb · 01/05/2018 16:36

I've just got these skechers sliders - very wide and ridiculously comfortable. Come in black and silver too.

I like the ones with a toe post rather than with a strap over the top of the foot. That way my wide feet can't run against anything.

M&S do wide fit

seefeld · 01/05/2018 18:26

M&S also do extra wide fit.

Okaynowimconfused · 01/05/2018 18:41

New Look cater for wide feet. They're really good but as they're cheap they won't last more than one summer!

I'm sure they do extra wide too.

Cardilover · 01/05/2018 18:44

Salt waters! So comfy and super soft leather. They are a fairly wide fitting to start and if you wet them then wear them they will stretch to fit your feet.

Geneva2 · 01/05/2018 18:45

Try Wider Fit shoes - they actually look nice for the most part!

GreenTulips · 01/05/2018 18:45

Look at fitflops and rocket dog

nancy75 · 01/05/2018 18:49

I have got off the scale wide feet & very high instep ( I think the technical term is troll feet) in the summer I wear saltwater sandals & also the toepost ones from Aldo.
I wouldn’t have a chance of getting a Clark’s regular fit on my feet!

For during the day & on holiday I also have birkenstocks , the ones that just go over the foot with one strap - think they are called Madrid

misscockerspaniel · 01/05/2018 19:54

Have you tried Gabor?

goose1964 · 01/05/2018 22:29

I have a similar problem I tend to wear Birkenstocks as my main footwear, a pair of reiker wedges as my looking more dressed up pair and a pair of house of Fraser own brand high pink wedges as my more formal pair

kaykay72 · 02/05/2018 10:18

I have really wide feet - Evans extra wide and hotter sometimes fit, sometimes don’t.

I have some sketchers yoga flip flops that are the most comfy things ever. Not glam, but passable and so comfy - toe post style. Crocs flip flops (sorry!!) come up wide and the styles are improving. Also Animal (the surf type shop) have nice flip flops that often come up wide and are a bit funkier.

Shoes are a nightmare with really wide feet when you don’t want geriatric orthopaedic shoes :-( I just got my first pair of superga (£25 from Amazon) that look really promising but depends where your feet are widest. They’re really wide across the toes and the front end of the foot but are cut a bit lower of the foot than Vans Old School. The cans are a bit narrower across the toe and the area just behind the toe, but are cut higher further back on the foot (in front of the ankle)

GreyHare · 02/05/2018 12:27

I have wide feet and sometimes struggle with Clarks wide fit not being wide enough and even Birkenstocks can be a struggle, but I recently brought some sandals from Rieker and they are wide and so so comfy, slightly quirky yet not as old ladyish as Hotter imo. Good luck with your search OP, finding comfy shoes is a nightmare.

missbehaving1000 · 03/05/2018 15:14

Have a look at simply be. Great range of wide fitting shoes that go up to EEE fitting I think. I have ridiculously wide feet also, but have found some gorgeous shoes from there that fit perfectly. Happy shopping!

Ellapaella · 03/05/2018 16:20

Very wide hooves here too.
Birkenstock are great, I've had a pair since the year dot and they are very comfy
Pleased to hear that Saltwaters are good for wide feet because I've ordered a pair myself, love the look of them.
And... although Boden do notoriously narrow shoes their girls shoes are actually much wider fitting than adults and go up to a size 7, I've two lovely pairs of their girls sandals from 2 summers ago which I still wear and are very comfy.
