What's your favourite shampoo/conditioner?

DearMrDilkington · 30/04/2018 10:18

I usually use a mixture of different Tigi shampoos, but I'm not seeing the results as much as when I first started using them, so I'm after something new.

Not really fussed about price, I can't use anything for shiny hair as it just makes my hair look greasy.

MN will slaughter me for this but.....Pantene Repair and Strong is the best conditioner for my hair. It rescues it every.single.time.that I abuse it.

I don't have a favourite shampoo anymore but it used to be Dove Moisture then I started on the whole organic bio SLS free malarkey and now I have no clue but the above mentioned conditioner saves the day every time

Bluesheep8 · 30/04/2018 19:31

I've used forever living aloe jojoba shampoo and conditioner for years. I really miss it and it shows on my hair when I run out and have to use something else til I get more. I swear by the stuff and am often told I have good hair....

Mybabystolemysanity · 30/04/2018 19:33

Enjoying OGX products. The Bamboo Fibre Full made a real difference.

TentUpFirstBunkUpLater · 30/04/2018 19:36

I absolutely love this and won't use anything else now:

Wella Professionals Brilliance shampoo and conditioner Fine/Normal hair

It keeps my colour, smells fab and comes in mahoosive bottles like at the hairdressers

Roominmyhouse · 30/04/2018 19:38

Another Wella Professionals fan here. This time I tried something different and got the TIGI oatmeal and honey which is good but just not quite as good as the Wella so will definitely go back to that.

TentUpFirstBunkUpLater · 30/04/2018 19:44

I had run out of Wella and had some Elvive in the cupboard.

Never again!! That's all I will say

nothingwittyhere · 30/04/2018 19:44

I came on to say OGX Bamboo but I see mybaby beat me to it. Leaves my fine hair shiny, soft and volumized and I love the smell. You do need to use both the shampoo and conditioner as the shampoo by itself would just leave your hair stripped.

ItWillAllBeOkayInTheEnd · 30/04/2018 19:59

I've just ordered the Wella shampoo & conditioner. Nearly ordered the OGX bamboo ones - maybe next time! Thanks for the recommendations!

I’ve been using my daughters child’s farm stuff for a couple of weeks and my hair is nice and shiny and my flaky scalp is better than it was...
Best ever shampo for me was body shop nettle stuff but then they took the SLS out and it wasn’t nearly as good any more :(

pinkrocker · 30/04/2018 20:02

Do you remember the Revlon Flex shampoo? That was brilliant, made my hair really strong....aaaand was discontinued. Sad
Now I use Lush 'Jersey Bounce', it has salt crystals in it, really gets my hair squeaky clean. I use the Lush milkshake conditioner afterwards and my hair is clean for about 3 days. Quite a miracle, as my hair used to get greasy after one day.

WipsGlitter · 30/04/2018 20:16

Pureology shampoo and conditioner. Expensive but my hair has never been in better condition.

CremeBrulee · 30/04/2018 20:29

Kiehls Amino Acid Shampoo and Conditioner - amazing stuff!

Ridiculouslyso · 30/04/2018 20:31

Love Faith in Nature shampoos and conditioners.

SmallVera · 30/04/2018 20:45

Sassoon professional. I wish I could afford it at the moment, tresemee is really not doing it for me

DearMrDilkington · 30/04/2018 20:48

Thanks all Grin

I've tried everything.

Nothing beats Dove for me

TeaAddict235 · 01/05/2018 10:28

@formerbabe , glad that I'm not the only one who has found generic hair care actually really good. I've tried so many unique and obscure brands since growing up, but the mass produced brands seem to meet my hair's needs. I don't know if it's mind over matter or that my hair is really robust, but every time I wander away from either Pantene or Dove, the other product leaves it in a awful and unmanageable state.

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 01/05/2018 10:39

Tigi Elasticate or the green urban antidotes one, for both shampoo and conditioner. both leave my hair nice, clean and soft. I have waist length hair so it pays for me to spend a bit more as a lot of cheaper stuff leaves it feeling horrible. I will also use various OGX ones if I can't get the Tigi but i don't find them quite as good for my hair

systemlakeland · 01/05/2018 10:41

I usually use Pantene/Herbal Essences/Elvive - any drugstore stuff that's on sale.

At the moment, however, I am trying Paul Mitchell Strength range. It's nice, but I am not sure yet if it's worth the extra money tbh.

MrsCatE · 01/05/2018 10:45

Moroccan Oil. Lovely smell too but overpriced. Now use L'Oréal Low shampoo. Just have to get used to a cream cleanser instead of lathering shampoo. Also, don't have to use conditioner after.

TheHonGalahadThreepwood · 01/05/2018 10:48

The Elvive stuff in the orange bottle. I find that my hair gets really frizzy, rough and flyaway without it. If I use it consistently for several weeks then eventually I need a couple of washes using something else, otherwise it goes too far the other way and my hair goes a bit flat and limp. It's amazing stuff.

Mrsfrumble · 01/05/2018 10:49

Mane 'n Tail is doing it for me right now. The texture of my hair is quite like a horse's; very thick and straight, so I suspected it would suit me and I've not been disappointed.

smashyourglasses · 01/05/2018 10:50

Ultimate Blends or i'll sometimes splurge on Bumble and Bumble.

PolkadotsAndMoonbeams · 01/05/2018 10:53

Johnson’s Baby Blush It just suits my hair and skin!

I tend to buy what’s on offer swap conditioners quite a lot, but nothing seems to make that much difference.

MissMorkansAnnualDance · 01/05/2018 10:53

Macadamia shampoo/conditioner/masque and oil has changed my life.
