What's your favourite shampoo/conditioner?

I usually use a mixture of different Tigi shampoos, but I'm not seeing the results as much as when I first started using them, so I'm after something new.

Not really fussed about price, I can't use anything for shiny hair as it just makes my hair look greasy.

I use Wella Professionals but the price has gone up quite a bit I feel. Mind you it does last ages, I don't have to buy it very often. I use the sensitive shampoo and the brilliance conditioner.

TentUpFirstBunkUpLater · 01/05/2018 19:24

I have also noticed that the Wella Professionals has increased in price, but it suits my hair so well, I don't want to change

And it does last ages

Here here to Wells Brilliance. Best I’ve ever tried. Oh and my milkshake purple 😂

Madbengalmum · 01/05/2018 19:37

Kerastase cristalliste or Espa shampoo and conditioner

Tiddlywinks63 · 01/05/2018 19:38

Trésemme Clarifying shampoo, cheap, huge bottle and better than any of the more expensive brands. I don't generally use conditioner as my hair is fine without it.

AmethystMoon · 01/05/2018 19:39

Lush shampoo and conditioner bars. No more adding to plastic bottle waste and I really like them. The scent lasts all day and my hair is in great condition. Wondering why I didn’t move over to them sooner. I first discovered them eight years ago when I bought them to take to Glastonbury Festival!

Nearlyadoctor · 01/05/2018 19:47

3 more inches original shampoo and conditioner, by far the best I've found. The new cashmere one smells lovely but is too moisturising for my hair.
I also use Redken hair cleansing cream every 7-10 days.

CherryBlossom23 · 01/05/2018 19:51

I really like the Lush Seanik shampoo bar and then either their American Cream conditioner, Tresemme moisturising conditioner or OGX Moroccan Aragan Oil conditioner.

I used to love Pantene clarifying shampoo but I can't get it anywhere anymore so need to find a replacement for that.

pinkrocker · 01/05/2018 21:04

Hair cleansing cream? How does that work, doesn't it make your hair greasy?

sonlypuppyfat · 01/05/2018 21:08

Alberto Balsam cheap and cheerful, my DD has the thickest shiniest hair ever

kikashi · 01/05/2018 21:34

Tigi Elasticate in the ugly green bottles is great on my hair (mid 50's grey/dyed)

Nearlyadoctor · 02/05/2018 06:21

Pinkrocker no not at all it's just a clarifying shampoo.

TantricTwist · 02/05/2018 09:02

When I feel like my hair has too much build up of stuff in it so even shampoos I love aren't cutting it then I use Vosene to strip it back.

smashyourglasses · 02/05/2018 10:56

I use Tresemme Clarifying shampoo once every two or three weeks to get rid of product build up. My hair would be so parched if i used it as my regular shampoo.

Eolian · 02/05/2018 11:00

I only use Lush shampoo bars (and soap instead of shower gel). I love not having bottles cluttering the bath/shower, plus it cuts down on plastic waste. I'd like to use solid conditioner too, but I don't find it works very well. I use a spray leave-in conditioner instead, which works well on my very fine hair.

Fatted · 02/05/2018 11:02

What type of hair do you have? I've got naturally curly hair I colour (cos I'm going grey) and straighten. So I use a colour shampoo and moisturising conditioner.

I use Aussie at the moment, but I do also love John Frida. I tend to get whichever works out cheapest at the time. I hate loreal elvive, always makes my hair really dry. But I love the conditioner that comes with the Loreal hair dye!

happymummy12345 · 02/05/2018 11:03

Schwarzkopf gliss (white bottle) are the only shampoo and conditioner that works for me. I have long naturally curly hair that goes very dry and frizzy. I've tried loads of different ones- expensive, cheaper, and these are the only ones that work for me. And at £1 a go in the pound shop it's a bargain.

Hillingdon · 02/05/2018 11:45

To PP - you can get Revlon Flex shampoo and conditioner at Amazon. There is nothing like the Flex smell!

DearMrDilkington · 03/05/2018 09:55

fatted my hair is in reasonably good condition, shoulder length but I've found some shampoos make it look really greasy. It'd like my hair to be thicker, it's quite thin.

I can't imagine using a shampoo bar, does it make your hair dry? Do lush also make conditioner bars? I like the idea of using less plastic.
