Hotter Tourist sandals

Anyone got these?
Or are they just too Mrs Brady Old Lady?
Thought they looked comfortable for a sightseeing summer holiday with lots of walking involved.
Seemed not too unstylish for Hotter instant comfort!

I’d personally want something a bit more closed for a lot of walking to prevent stones getting in

pandorawithtreaclecolouredhair · 15/04/2018 10:53

Scatty, it will be city walking (Rome in June).

I love the zebra print ones

DragonsAndCakes · 15/04/2018 18:09

I’d go for Birkenstocks out of preference. They aren’t terrible though.

IrishElla · 15/04/2018 18:32

I’ve been looking at these too but worried they might be quite hard, like Birkenstocks. What colour are you thinking of?

pandorawithtreaclecolouredhair · 15/04/2018 18:37

I like the Dark Stone ones.

I've got these in the blue. I used them in Amsterdam a few weeks ago and they were very comfortable. They're not the most stylish option but for sightseeing they were great

Frankiewears · 15/04/2018 18:44

They are vile.

Try Birkenstock with a soft footbed- the Florida or mayari ones. Fly London also does great comfortable sandals as does Art Company.

pandorawithtreaclecolouredhair · 15/04/2018 18:45

Think I will get some: will go to a Hotter shop and try some on.

MeanTangerine · 15/04/2018 18:47

Are you 75?

cannaethink · 15/04/2018 18:50

I tried them on last year but they looked too massive on my already big feet. They did seem very comfy though!

pandorawithtreaclecolouredhair · 15/04/2018 18:55

Are you 75?
I know, I know, but they look so comfortable!

Hotter ones are not nice, but better than those Decathalon ones! Then again, I wear Clarks sandals, so am all about the ugly.

picklemepopcorn · 15/04/2018 18:57

Bet these are comfy, too.

There is no point spoiling your trip by not having comfy shoes. It's the most important thing you need!

picklemepopcorn · 15/04/2018 18:58

Ah but Remus, you can paddle in the decathlon ones! And stick them in your handbag as spares because they are very small and light!

Aeroflotgirl · 15/04/2018 18:59

Noway, they are mostly the preserve of a certain older age group, go for Fitflops or Birkenstocks, I have both, and are comfy and stylish.

DragonsAndCakes · 15/04/2018 19:07

These could be nice or hideous. I can’t quite tell.

AnnaMagnani · 15/04/2018 21:42

In Rome everyone wears hideous sandals. The place is a foot killer, everyone you meet is either a) a tourist or b) working in the tourist industry so no-one cares what your feet look like.

I did the place in Hotter and was v glad I did. The one evening I decided to look glam, I got blisters, deeply regretted it and looked decidedly unglam as i hobbled and hopped accross town.

NB: You will see some ladies with deep tans and high heeled Manolos looking amazingly stylish, unbothered by the cobbled streets. Ignore them as they are native Romans and you do not have their skills.

zenasfuck · 16/04/2018 00:34

I got two pairs of the hotter tourist sandals last year and can not wait to wear them again

Teamed with ankle grazing skinny jeans they looked really nice. I’m early 30’s so nowhere near a granny

They are so unbelievably comfortable

pandorawithtreaclecolouredhair · 16/04/2018 07:47

Thanks everyone.
I'll certainly learn from Anna's mistake: I know that this is a holiday that could be made or broken by the shoes!

I got the Hotter sandals in silver last year for a similar trip to yours Op & they were so comfortable. I painted my toenails a lovely bright Coral colour & actually got compliments about the sandals.

SukiTheDog · 16/04/2018 18:42

Skechers? I don’t much like Hotter....yes, old fashioned but also, for me, not that comfy.

I did Rome first week in August and it was massively hot and I’d say, just be comfy in whatever YOU want!
