I’ve removed all wires from my bras....

I usually wear Triumph Amourette style in various colours. I’m a 36D or 38C depending on what the shop has in stock. Recently, the wire support is driving me bonkers. So, I’ve removed them all (last night, watching Netflix after a few 🍷🍷🍷).

This morning I feel comfier but.... can anyone recommend a bra that give good support without wires? Thanks.

Ooo, that’s exactly what i would like too.
I’ve resorted to wearing good sports bras, but would love some really good non wired bras.
Next time I’m in London I’ll head to R&P for some good underwired ones, but anything I’ve bought lately is expensive and not comfy!!
I’ve lost a lot of weight, so feel i can get away with sports bras at the min.

The usual question, have you been fitted recently and where? Most people who complain about wires being uncomfortable can be helped by a properly fitting bra.

Otherwise, Freya Deco has a non-wired version that's supposedly quite supportive.

DanceDisaster · 08/04/2018 14:06

There’s a wireless version of the Freya Deco bra. I have one and it’s very supportive. I find it a little uncomfortable round the back, but I just ordered my usual size instead of going for a proper fitting, so mine may be the wrong size.

DanceDisaster · 08/04/2018 14:06

Ha! Sorry, didn’t see Katharina had already suggested the Deco one.

Mercurial123 · 08/04/2018 14:34

Calvin Klein does a really nice wireless one great support and looks good.

KirstenRaymonde · 08/04/2018 14:36

Are you sure you’re actually that size?

SukiTheDog · 08/04/2018 16:08

I need to get measured, for sure. I have gained weight (though am trying to lose it) so, that’ll be why.

i am also scpetical of a 38C

I bet you are a 34G

myusernameisnotmyusername · 08/04/2018 16:45

I stopped wearing underwire when I was 36 weeks pregnant and never went back to it. I get my bras from m and s. I swear I got measured in there for my last lot bought four in different and walked out with one of them on it felt that good!

myusernameisnotmyusername · 08/04/2018 16:46

Four Colours that should say!

Dailymailisshite · 08/04/2018 16:48

Im permanently on the lookout for a comfortable bra.
I removed the underwires from a couple but they still arent doing the job. I have had a right side unreconstructed mastectomy which means I also have to contend with a poorly fitting prosthesis which slides about and constantly needs re-positioning. I look at bras in every shop but my bra buying budget isnt up to buying anything expensive that might not do the job so I stick with Asda mainly. They may not fit but they are cheap at least.
The main problem I have is that the wires dig into my underarm area. Im never sure if that means they are too big or the bra too small. Its a minefield isnt it?

Whatififall · 08/04/2018 16:56

Sloggi

Mulberrysilk · 08/04/2018 17:13

If you're buying the same bra in different sizes because that's what the shop had in stock, it's not surprising that they're uncomfortable. They dont fit.

lilacandlemonade · 08/04/2018 17:35

Uniqlo's wireless bras are amazing. So so comfortable and they feel supportive too. There's a bunch of different styles as well which should make it easier to find something suitable.

KatharinaRosalie · 08/04/2018 18:06

I swear I got measured in there for my last - M&S are dreadful at fitting. Try the boob or bust link.

goose1964 · 08/04/2018 18:21

I'm Tesco do wireless bras

Fairylea · 08/04/2018 18:25

Are you a size 18 ish? Because unless you are there’s no way you’re a size 38 - I would be really surprised anyway. Use the methods mentioned above. The wrong bra size would be why they’re all so uncomfortable.

SukiTheDog · 08/04/2018 19:55

Ok. Thanks everyone. Going to go to a smallish but well stocked lingerie shop next week, if I can. I really do want to be comfortable.

myusernameisnotmyusername · 08/04/2018 19:56

Katharina that wasn’t my experience. I guess it depends who you get which is a bit rubbish

Fairylea · 08/04/2018 19:58

If you have a tape measure try this - (scroll down the page to where she is bending over) -
thebetterbracampaign.blogspot.co.uk/p/fitting-advice.html?m=1

Any shop that measures you round your ribs and adds or subtracts anything- run for the hills.

MynameisJune · 08/04/2018 20:17

I love non underwire bra’s now, I’ve found the Victoria Secret ones really good and comfy.

SukiTheDog · 09/04/2018 18:51

Victoria’s Secret stuff is nice, isn’t it?

I think I might need a full cup as opposed to the half cups I’ve been wearing. That 4 boob look isn’t attractive, for sure!

I find this one very comfortable. Not a wire in sight. I've got it in all colours.

SukiTheDog · 09/04/2018 19:28

I like these (functional looking but comfy looking too). Lascana make Petite Fleur. I’ve never heard of the make but they get good reviews.
