I have w doing to attend next month and I’m fed up looking for an outfit. All would be fine if I was 4 inches taller!

I have this dress which I bought last year for a family event which didn’t happen, and I’ve never worn it.

These aren’t the shoes I’d wear, just trying to show the length with heels. I think it’s maybe a bit casual for a wedding? What do you think? Is there anyway I can dress it up, or should I just keep hating my hobbit body shopping??

I like it. Looks good on you and you could easily dress it up with some cute heels and some jewellery ...def wear it!

NashvilleQueen · 07/04/2018 23:29

I like it.

numptynuts · 07/04/2018 23:30

Nice!

Ohyesiam · 07/04/2018 23:30

Yes, fine for a wedding, and you look really good in it.

Youvegotafriendinme · 07/04/2018 23:35

Looks lovely, really suits your shape. I like the shoes as well :)

BreakfastAtSquiffanys · 07/04/2018 23:38

Really nice.
Unusual print which makes it look special.

Much as I love pockets, don't put your hands in them all day!

SheGotBetteDavisEyes · 07/04/2018 23:39

Yep, looks great. Neat and suits your figure. I'd avoid any anything around the neck and just keep it simple with the bold print.

ChishandFips33 · 07/04/2018 23:41

Thumbs up here too

FadingSomewhereInHollywood · 07/04/2018 23:43

You look lovely Smile

TinWhistleTunes · 07/04/2018 23:43

It's a lovely dress, and you look great in it. The only thing I would say (as an ancient woman old enough to be your mother ) is that, in that photo, you look self conscious with your hands in your pockets. Stand straight and tall and be proud of yourself!

Maybe a black hat and black high heeled shoes? You have the legs to carry this off. Listen to the younger women who will hopefully be here shortly - I am horribly out of date.

Anyway, I think you'd probably look good in a binbag and flip flops if you were smiling and confident

ShopoholicIn · 07/04/2018 23:44

Looks good

qwertqwertyqwerty · 07/04/2018 23:46

Beautiful dress and you look amazing.

Where is the dress from?

Glug44 · 07/04/2018 23:55

Wear it with wedges and it’d look really cute.

M0reGinPlease · 07/04/2018 23:56

Looks fab on you. Some wedges and maybe a cute cropped jacket for the day.

DextroDependant · 07/04/2018 23:57

The dress is lovely and it suits your fabulous figure.

privateporcupine · 08/04/2018 00:00

Wow, thanks. I didn’t expect so many positive responses.

Thank you Tinwhistle Definitely no hands in the pockets on the day. Not sure why I posed like that! I think I’d rather a coloured shoe though, and I’m not a hat person. Maybe a little fascinator at a push. Will be wearing my hair up, so maybe something bright and floral?

I’ve attached a close up, brighter, photo to show the colours better. Which colour should I pick out to accessorise with?

Any suggestions of shoes, etc. very welcome. I am of the “go high or go home” opinion and ideally something with strap to help me walk more confidently in them.

The dress is from Warehouse qwerty

Wow! Amazing dress. Any of the colours in the dress would be fine for shoes and bag, or even black would be awesome. Get your hair done if you want it to feel more special but honestly that dress on you is a knockout!

BackforGood · 08/04/2018 00:42

It's lovely. Totally suitable for a wedding Smile

BeMoreKind · 08/04/2018 01:16

Lovely dress and suits your figure. Like it with the shoes too. Pick out a colour from the dress for a jacket, neutral bag to match the shoes and you're good to go!

dontticklethetoad · 08/04/2018 01:39

Ooh it looks fab!

Sunflowersforever · 08/04/2018 03:13

A belt would look good too, instead of other accessories

SamanthaBrique · 08/04/2018 07:40

I think a shoe in a colour from the dress would go well with it. But I would say a pump rather than an ankle strap as the ones you're wearing in the photo look a tad too tight and like the strap is digging into your ankle.

MrsTylerJoseph · 08/04/2018 07:44

Tan heels?

BabloHoney · 08/04/2018 08:11

Gorgeous dress. You look lovely
