One eyebrow raised after Botox.

I had Botox last Saturday. Just in my forehead creases. I’m mainly very pleased with the results BUT one eyebrow has lifted more than the other.

Will the other one catch up? It’s not massively noticeable but it’s annoying me. They did say it could keep tightening for two weeks but is it likely to even out in the next week or not?

It might do. Leave it the full two weeks and if it's not sorted go back. It's easily solved and just one of those things that happens sometimes. I've had it happen a couple of times.

CowesTwo · 30/03/2018 13:53

I'm having Botox next week for the first time in my vertical creases between my eyebrows. Now I'm worried I might look uneven afterwards. OP, did it hurt?

lovemylover · 30/03/2018 14:16

Sorry but not likely to even up,i had botox in January, same thing happened, but my eyelid drooped too when she put more in

BennyTheBall · 30/03/2018 14:24

This happens to me. I go back and have it corrected after about one week from the first dose. It won't resolve itself imo.

paceyswife · 30/03/2018 16:55

I had a similar issue but my lady always sees you two weeks in and fixes anything which needs to be fixed - have you got a follow up booked?

lovemylover · 30/03/2018 17:39

It was at my 2 weeks review she put more in mine, made it worse, but she probably put it in the wrong place

lovemylover · 30/03/2018 17:42

Can i ask those who have had it corrected where the second injection was put , please as i was told it couldnt be corrected you just had to wait for it to wear off,
Mine is still one low and one high after almost 3 months

paceyswife · 30/03/2018 20:58

Lovemylover that is appalling! No practitioner should have said that - mine wrote on my notes that I had issues in a certain area and corrected it with a bit above each brow- hard to describe

lovemylover · 30/03/2018 21:59

paceyswife that is not all that happened to me,i had 2 very bruised black eyes and nose,
You can read about it in WWYD [if this happened to you],I have just had the photo removed,i am taking it further as i asked for a refund and she said she didnt give refunds under any circumstances
Anyone giving these treatments should be a prescriber, if a nurse,, or have someone who is one or a Dr with them, i only just found this out,if not they are working illegally,
This nurse is being investigated now

lovemylover · 30/03/2018 22:01

When the nurse put more in mine at 2 weeks after, she put it high in my forehead

BennyTheBall · 30/03/2018 22:09

Mine adds more to the glabella area and high on the forehead on the affected side.

BennyTheBall · 30/03/2018 22:11

lovemylover that sounds horrendous!

My dentist does mine, and he is very honest that some need more than others, and most need differing amounts on each side.

bluebell34567 · 30/03/2018 22:20

Kylie Minoque has one eye brow higher. it doesn't look bad on her, its like her characteristic.

lovemylover · 30/03/2018 23:33

I did read that some could be put on the corner of the affected brow and that would lift it, but no one wants to try to correct someone elses mistakes, understandable i suppose

Housewife2010 · 31/03/2018 06:45

Isn't Kylie Minogue's because of botox? She's about 50 with no forehead wrinkles at all.

paceyswife · 31/03/2018 10:03

That is truly awful and I hope you get somewhere with it. My lady is a nurse and has been doing it a long time, black eyes Shock I really feel for you must be horrendous. I was really worried about side affects but you couldn't even see where the needle had been after 20 mins.

lovemylover · 01/04/2018 19:40

I have had botox previoualy and no problems but that lady left the area
I actually screamed it was so painful, my daughter was with me and she said a huge bubble cam up at the top of my nose,
The woman rushed to put an ice pack on it, but eyes were very bruised and slightly bloodshot after 2 days and nose bruised and swollen

Cadence70 · 01/04/2018 19:51

I had botox for the first time nearly three weeks ago for frown lines, hasn't made a bit of difference, went back last Monday and she put more in but says I'll need fillers to get them smooth
Unfortunately I can't afford another £300 after paying £200 for the botox!
Very disappointed with the results

CowesTwo · 01/04/2018 22:06

Oh gosh, I’ m now thinking of cancelling.

littlebillie · 01/04/2018 22:21

I love the idea of it however won't it mean that your face will eventually just slide when the muscles have atrophied

Cadence70 · 02/04/2018 08:26

Don't cancel Cowes, just make sure and plenty of questions about what you can realistically expect
My frown lines are really deep, I think it depends how bad they are

EphraimLevi · 02/04/2018 08:47

Mine has evened out beautifully now and I’m really pleased with it.

The woman who made a mess of my botox has been deregistered and had to stop practicing

cloudtree · 09/04/2018 07:22

lovemylover its a little unfair for you to be posting on this sort of thread since your experience was clearly extremely unusual and the practitioner has been deregistered. Something obviously went badly wrong.

Botox can be corrected. It doesn't hurt at all (its a few pin pricks). It can sometimes cause some heaviness above the eyebrows if you have too much put in there. My advice is to go for baby botox the first time and specifically say that you are concerned about heaviness over the eyebrows.

ClaudiaWankleman · 09/04/2018 07:26

I don’t think it’s unfair of lovemylover to post. She is posting a genuine experience of Botox gone wrong, just as many other posters are posting genuine experiences where they are happy with results.
