What makes the most difference for you?

What makes the most difference? Whether it’s a treatment, a product, an item of clothing or something else. How does it make a difference? Your look? Sense of indulgence?

After a fairly hectic and rough 12 months I want to get my mojo back. During the past year I’ve gained a feeling that I can only describe as confidence/live for the moment type thing. So, I’m open to all suggestions!

I want to be me but better - more together I suppose.

Not one thing but my brows, nails and lashes, as long as they look good then I feel confident with my hair, clothes and the rest of me looking like shit.

Fwend · 29/03/2018 17:26

A good bra and eyebrow threading. Without them I feel like a frumpy slug.

turkeyboots · 29/03/2018 17:34

Perfume, lipstick and earings. Feel confident wearing anything as long as I have them on.

clothcollector · 29/03/2018 17:35

for me its mascara to make me look less saucer-eyed and ghd straighteners to tame and smooth my coarse. even if i do just this, i look muuuucccch better.

Undercoverbanana · 29/03/2018 17:36

Fresh air and exercise. I feel terrible if I’m deprived of either.

overmydeadbody · 29/03/2018 19:12

Agree, fresh air and exercise.

Plus my hair done nicely, lip gloss and concealer under my eyes.

And sunglasses...I always feel better with shades on!

LunaTheCat · 29/03/2018 19:19

Exercise, a good haircut, waxing chin hairs and lip hairs, pedicure in summer, neat clean fingernails. I also have a vintage red velvet coat and if I feel otherwise crappy it makes me feel amazing 😉

Skinfulnappies46 · 29/03/2018 19:28

Mascara to look less undead. Eyebrows threaded and tinted for good face frame. Earrings so I don't feel naked . Give hair good shake ( it's curly).

SukiTheDog · 29/03/2018 19:35

My face on. Seriously, I no longer want to look like the undead, even when I’m on a muddy field and in my wellies and scruffs with my dog. I suppose it’s a confidence thing but, I just want to look polished on a daily basis. And everything now has spf in it so I kid myself, it’s good for me. I don’t do nails and have longer hair that doesn’t need much doing to it. I’m overweight and I suppose my best feature is my face, so, I “do” it 😊

Sleep, going for a run, weight training, yoga. If I don't get all of those I feel lethargic, and unmotivated.

Tryingtogetitright · 29/03/2018 20:05

Mascara, tinted moisturiser, blusher, straighten hair... in order of impact!

Soyalatteforme · 29/03/2018 20:24

Yoga, sunglasses and a proper outfit. Plus lippy!

halfwitpicker · 29/03/2018 20:30

Being a decent weight i.e. less than 10 stone.

Boredboredboredboredbored · 29/03/2018 20:35

Having my front 4 teeth veneered last year, best investment I've ever made in myself. Botox which makes a subtle difference, nothing else works like it for me. I haven't told anybody but people often say I look well but can't quite put their finger on it.

LockedOutOfMN · 29/03/2018 21:17

Working out makes me feel better inside and out.

peonylover22 · 30/03/2018 07:52

Running (endorphin boost, clears head), Pilates (toning, stretching, helps posture, clears head). But in terms of products and treatments: LVL lashes: bolted on now, just makes me feel prettier and look more awake even with a bare face. Also really rate getting a good lipstick colour for you - v quick to apply and makes me feel pulled together

CryptoFascist · 30/03/2018 07:57

Botox
Eyelash extensions

That's it really. Two things I pay professionals to do for me that last. The extensions save on mascara and I never get the dark staining that I used to get during the day from eye makeup creeping under my eyes.
The Botox stops me looking angry/sad/tired when I'm not. I'm on my 4th round of it now and the frown lines around my eyes and mouth that were aging me 5 years are gone.

FabalaTheGreenGirl · 30/03/2018 08:12

Straightened hair. Mine is frizzy and lumpy and needs work before it's fit for the outside world!

Fosterdog123 · 30/03/2018 08:16

Botox and retinol.

retainertrainer · 30/03/2018 08:52

Gradual tanner,I’m naturally very pale but in a sickly kind of way so this really brightens up my complexion.

runningdoll · 30/03/2018 10:54

A good bra (not much choice, large of nork)

Good cut and colour, decent shampoo and heat protect product

Decent anti-age face cream

HeadingForSunshine · 30/03/2018 12:15

Good cut and colour
Foundation, mascara, blusher, lippy
Good shoes

Floisme · 30/03/2018 12:17

Over the decades - probably not smoking or sunbathing.

Over the years - eating reasonably well, exercise (mostly walking) slowing down on the booze.

Day to day - good haircut, decent bra, nice clothes, sleep.
