What perfume do you wear?

Just curious. I just went to re-order my favourite daily perfume and I was thinking that I've been wearing the same one on and off for about 20 years. It's something I don't think much about, but I used to always be shopping around for new scents. I wear CK Contradiction day to day, and Dior Dune if I'm going out. Does anyone have similar tastes and have any new suggestions? I like perfumes that are powdery and floral without being sweet, and slightly more musky for evening. CK Obsession was a favourite in the past but I now find it too heavy. Wondering if I'm missing out or if I should just stick to what I know and like!

I have not had a signature scent for a few years now. It’s liberating! I enjoy choosing a Perfume each day more than shoes. I’m not rich- I own mainly samples and small decants, plus some FBs. Lots gifted by kind mumsnet perfumistas.

This week I’ve worn Miller Harris Noix de Tubereuse, Mary Greenwell Plum and Lemon (both fab EDP - available on fragrance shop for just £15- best bargain ever!), Penhaligon’s Iris Prima, Atelier Cologne Iris Rebelle, Floral Street Iris Goddess, Chanel Bois de Iles, Naomi Goodsir Iris Cendre (can you tell I’m going through an Iris phase?!), Vince Camuto Amore (from the Big Sniff), 4160 Silk Lace and Chocolate.

Crazy amount of smells going on but I love it!

I have around 12 Jo Malone perfumes that Iike to mix or wear solo. Currently loving basil and neroli and the new English Fields collection which were a lovely gift although I'm finding them a bit samey.... 😕

I have lots. Like another poster I love YSL Rive Gauche because it reminds me of the city and my young, fun days. I also wear Opium, Obsession, Shalimar, Samsara, YSL Paris, Givenchy Organza, J'Adore, Allure as the mood takes me, but my day to day go-to fragrance is Hugo Boss Deep Red.

I like and miss very much KL by Karl Lagerfield and love, love, love but have run out of Amarige and Dune.

I love the Chanel Exclusifs, they seem to suit me, but they're bloody expensive; so I work overtime occasionally and put that money into my special Chanel Exclusifs fund, along with Christmas and birthday money.

Currently into Cuir de Russie, but I find it wintery; so going into spring, I'll dig out 31 Rue Cambon again (have half a bottle left).

I have Bois des Iles for autumn, so I need a summer one, though. I have a sample of Sycomore, and one of Coromandel, and cannot decide. Coromandel is well trippy, though!

Well, this week (so far...) I have worn Mary Greenwell Lemon, Mary Greenwell Plum, Mary Greenwell Fire, 4160s Creamy Vanilla Crumble, Fragonard Santal Cardamome, Mancera Velvet Vanilla, Mancera Aoud Vanille, Friedemodin Vertine, Clean Reserve Blond Rose and Alaia Paris.

I may be a teeny weeny bit obsessed...but there are so many fab 'fumes out there why on earth stick to just one or two?

Elizabeth Arden Sunflowers - been wearing it for 20 years. I do occasionally intersperse it with Marc Jacobs Dot. I have got other scents but not overly keen on them.

Oh and I don't have any and haven't for years but I used to love Tommy Hilfiger Tommy Girl - purely because I used to wear it when I was young and it just gives me a smile!

Britney Spears Fantasy and Escada are also bloody lovely! Remind me of summer fun when I was younger. They are relatively cheap, the scent doesn't last all day but oh my are they lush!

Samsara by Guerlain, but sparingly. Sandalwood and jasmine, among other notes. Lovely

Till now Madmoiselle has been the one I wear most often. But I also use Joe Malone Lime and Basil.

This week though I bought one by Annick Goutal after picking it up at random in a shop. I loved it immediately but I can’t remember which one it is.

I’ve also woken up today to Rose Musc by Narciso Rodriquez that a lovely friend has given me for my birthday. I’m so happy with it I’ve just sprayed it all over me and my pillows.

Then there’s organza that comes out throughout the year because one of my sons thinks of me whenever he smells it. He buys it for me and when I wear it he knows a wee message from me to him.

Sorry, for evening I’d go with something from Amouge. It’s local to where I live and it suits here. But I also like the Jo Malone one with Oudh. Not that I can remember what’s it’s called.
