Is my pale pearl nail varnish nice or naff (with pic)?

I think I like it, but seem to remember I had something like in approx 1991 and had not seen it bring worn on anyone since! Maybe there's a reason for that!
What's the verdict please, nice or naff?

I think it looks good on you. You have young looking hands so I think you're avoiding the grannyish vibe.
It doesn't really matter what's in vogue if you're just off to Tescos or what not.

The 80's are back in trend anyway I think. I've seen a few shell suit jackets worn by teens recently, my son and his friends are all proudly flashing their white towelling sports socks everyone used to wear back in the day.

(I'm not suggesting you get a shell suit OP btw)

Bah, I think if you like it then who cares, your nails would look slightly better in they were more of a squoval shape and slightly shorter, but if you like then wear it. Mine are currently a pearlised rose gold shade and last week I had one hand emerald green and one hand black, I care not a jot what anyone thinks of my nails or my choices of colours.

I personally think it’s the pearl effect that might make it a bit naff. I think matte natural- looking pale pink nails are classic. Not exciting but groomed. Much prefer them to bright refs and pinks, though I do like greys.

I’m not a fan and prefer clean buffed natural nails but if you like it, that’s all that really matters.

I think both the polish and the shape of your nails look lovely, OP. I'm amazed some people are saying they look long. I don't think they're long at all. Don't file them down! I really hate the short, squared-off look.

I think your nails are lovely Op, not keen on the polish though. It's a bit Aunty Pat. It reminds me of Twilight Teaser lipstick times.

I've not changed them yet, will probably re-do them in something else soon when they start to wear / chip.
