Which concealer do you love?

I am finally replacing all of budget Avon makeup with decent stuff. I have dark circles under my eyes and I need a decent concealer.

I tried Benefit Boing but I really don't like it, it seems to emphasise the problem rather than hide it.

Tarte shape tape

MissisBoote · 10/03/2018 14:28

The clarins one in a tube is brilliant.

hugoagogo · 10/03/2018 14:30

Maybelline eye eraser I suppose you wanted something more pricey...

DextroDependant · 10/03/2018 14:35

Going to Google those.

It's not that I particularly want pricey stuff, I am just willing to pay a little bit more of it is worth it.

Collection lasting perfection. £4 you won’t regret! Much better than many of the high end ones!

April229 · 10/03/2018 14:45

Another one for collection best concealer I’ve ever used.

DextroDependant · 10/03/2018 14:58

For £4 it is worth giving it a go!

The Tarte one has really good reviews too, any ideas where I can try it out before I pick a shade?

If your dark circles are really dark you’ll probably need a correcter and a concealer, otherwise you could just make the area look greyish. I use the Bobbie brown serum correct and concealer but they also have a cream version which have higher coverage.

Ellapaella · 10/03/2018 16:28

Collection concealer is excellent. MUR do a dupe for Tarte Shape take which is also really good, both cost about £5.
Touché Eclat is good but not worth £20 when compared to some of the cheaper alternatives.

Ellapaella · 10/03/2018 16:28

Shape tape not take!

Rainboho · 10/03/2018 16:32

Placemarking as I hate my dark circles. Never tried a corrector though so im intrigued.

BeeHobz · 10/03/2018 16:38

Nars Creamy Concealer is v. good for under the eyes Grin

SleepingBooty · 10/03/2018 16:41

Aldi concealer is my favourite, it's a click pen with brush, I think it was a dupe of touch eclat.

Bluntness100 · 10/03/2018 16:44

Georgio Armani high precision retouch. Little tube of miracle stuff.

AnaViaSalamanca · 10/03/2018 16:47

I am a concealer junkie! I like mac studio finish with SPF 35 or double wear. I always come back to these. By terry is also good especially if you have a pink undertone, but more for an evening than a whole day. Bobbi brown corrector and concealer is good idea-wise but it is not really a great concealer, it just looks too cakey every time I put them on.

I hate touche eclat and the benefit one though.

OriginalGeordie · 10/03/2018 17:07

Just been converted to the Makeup Revolution one, conceal and define. It’s amazing for £4! I had been using the collection for years before that and also the nars creamy concealer but this is hands down the best!

A bit off topic but I’ve got the new makeup revolution fast base stick foundation on today and that’s totally amazing too and is £5!

LilaBlue · 10/03/2018 17:08

Aldi dupe of touché eclait is the best I've ever used.

BubblesBubblesBubbles · 10/03/2018 17:18

The Aldi was in fab! As is the Lidl one.

I also use one from boots ??Collection?? About £4.

I found most of the high end ones not very good. Maybe just my skin tho.

DryWhiteagainW · 10/03/2018 17:24

Boing by Benefit......a fantastic product.
YSL Touch Éclat or the Boots No7 équivalent are brightening for under eyes.

PaperdollCartoon · 10/03/2018 17:27

Touché Eclait isn’t a concealer and shouldn’t be used as one, it’s a highlighter.

I’m currently obsessed with the Glossier one in the little pot for under eyes. It’s so creamy, doesn’t crease or cake at all which is a problem with so many under eye concealers. Not super long lasting because it’s so hydrating but it’s worth.

woodhill · 10/03/2018 17:28

I'm not sure if the concealer makes the shadows look worse and cakes

CointreauVersial · 10/03/2018 17:29

Rimmel Wake Me Up - the one with the orange top. It's about £6.

I borrowed DD1's while we were on holiday once, and oh my goodness, it was so much better than the expensive one I was using, so I immediately switched.

It literally vanishes into your skin, taking the dark circles with it.

Lanaa · 10/03/2018 17:30

Nars Creamy, Smashbox 24h or the Ester Lauder doublewear concealer. All of those are equally fantastic. I'll echo the recommendations for the Revolution one. It's amazing for £4.
