Can I wear this dress with these boots?

40th Birthday party tomorrow night, the dress is black and the boots are a very dark green with stud detailing round the ankle.

Or should I wear shoe-type shoes (black courts) instead?

It's been so long since I put a frock on I've lost all sense of what works!

I would, but not with black opaques. Maybe tights closer to the colour of your shoes. You look lovely by the way, definitely wear that dress. And where did you get it?

The boots are fine! A little bit clumpy but better than shoes in this weather!

I only have black opaques I think..will have a dig about in my drawer and see if I have something more sheer.

It's so ruddy cold at the moment!

The dress is from French Connection knockered. I've had it for about 7 years and only ever worn it once! It's lovely but the sequins do have a habit of falling off!

Showed OH and he just said 'yeah looks ok' which means bugger all really!

They're from Mint Velvet..and actually even though they are pretty high and clumpy, they're pretty comfortable.

I will probably take some trainers in a bag in case we decide to try and stagger home afterwards though! Grin

oooh fishnets!! Haven't had any of those for a while!

Thanks all..it is a nice dress, it just sheds sequins everywhere! I wasn't sure if it was a bit too short..I don't wear dresses often. More a comfy jeans and hoodie girl!
