Can I wear this dress with these boots?

40th Birthday party tomorrow night, the dress is black and the boots are a very dark green with stud detailing round the ankle.

Or should I wear shoe-type shoes (black courts) instead?

It's been so long since I put a frock on I've lost all sense of what works!

Looks great. Definitely stick with the opaques though. Sheer tights are awful.

Taking the trainers is a good idea. I've had many nights when I've had to walk home barefoot as my shoes were killing me. Though I draw the line at walking barefoot in this weather!
