Weird shaped boobs

Smallboobed · 01/03/2018 11:47

This is really embarrassing but does anyone else have triangle shaped boobs. I still feel like a teenager Sad. I’m only a 34A so I can’t wear anything low cut and can’t seem to find a bra that fits me properly. I was hoping they’d fill out a bit in pregnancy/after birth but nope.

I usually wear padded or push up bras and people still comment that I have small boobs Sad. Bikini shopping fills me with dread, thank god for the high neck bikini trend!

Does anyone else have this problem?

I did have this problem.
I always felt I had triangle tits.
Now I’m 2 kids down and 2st overweight they are huge round floppy.

EBearhug · 01/03/2018 12:52

Do people really comment? I got called "Toblerone tits" at school by one boy when I was 12, but I ignored him, and it didn't continue. (Obviously I still remember now I'm in my 40s, though, so while I ignored it, I did notice.) My mother also made the odd unflattering comment, but she mostly seemed incapable of praise anyway.

I think, at least I can run for a bus without knocking myself out. I usually don't wear a bra these days, partly because it's such a faff finding them. I am overweight, but there's one area I don't seem to put weight on. I mostly can't be bothered to worry about it.

zenasfuck · 01/03/2018 12:54

Get in boob or bust on Facebook and remedies yourself using their method, I’d bet money that you aren’t a 34 A

MagicFajita · 01/03/2018 12:57

As a pp said , please check your size is actually a 34a, you need to be around a size 16 for that underbust measurement to be correct.

And as far as people commenting on YOUR body...how dare they? I'm sorry you have these nasty people around you.

MyBrilliantDisguise · 01/03/2018 12:59

Size 16 for a 34" bra???

sprinkleofsunshine · 01/03/2018 13:00

I have the same problem, I'd just like to wear something other than high necks!! Hmph

MagicFajita · 01/03/2018 13:03

@Mybrilliantdisguise , the reason I say this because I'm a 32 band and my band size is very similar to my waist. So I'm a 14 and a 32e. Although I know that this depends on our shape.

You often hear of women around a size 8-10 saying they wear a 34 band and really should be in a 28 instead.

MyBrilliantDisguise · 01/03/2018 13:06

But when I was a size 10 I wore a 34 - I wouldn't have been able to fasten a 28 around me!

MagicFajita · 01/03/2018 13:10

Ah I see @Mybrilliantdisguise, I apologise.

I'm pear-shaped so that's possibly why it worked that way for me.

smallboobed · 01/03/2018 13:41

Hmmm I am a size 10 I have tried a 32B but that seemed to be a bit small round the band. There’s no way I could be a C is there? I have no cleavage! I look almost totally flat in just a vest.

It could be worse I guess just a bit depressing. I’d love to just have round boobs I would be happy with a B I just want them to look nice! People aren’t normally being horrible, just if it comes up in conversation. Some people will say I’m lucky as I can go braless and don’t have to worry about buying bras etc. But that couldn’t be further from the truth!

If the band feels too tight op then increase the cup size.

I'm sure someone will be along with a good bra size calculator link.

Furball · 01/03/2018 13:59

I'm a 16 and 34"

If you measure as per this guide

The reason it could feel tight it because the cups are too small and so stealing the room from the band. The way to fully test this is put it on back to front so the cups aren't in that equation, then you should only be able to 'ping' it an inch or so away from the body. if it's any more then it's more than likely too big and not giving you the correct support

Furball · 01/03/2018 14:01

You will probably be a bit Hmm at the end result using that measure, but it is what it is.....

Paintbox · 01/03/2018 14:03

Honestly, the bra intervention stuff on here is amazing! I wore a 36b for years, but once I realised I am a 32e I am so much more comfortable! I am a size 12-14 by the way.

Paintbox · 01/03/2018 14:03

OH, and my boobs are small!! An e cup can be small!

smallboobed · 01/03/2018 14:21

Thanks everyone! So I just measured myself, I’m 31 inches underbust and 36 inching bending over (I measured firmly for both). So this means I’m a 30/32 E Shock what haha I’m a bit sceptical. I might try out some C/Ds first.

I just fished my 32B bras out my wardrobe (I use to wear these as a teenager because I didn’t want to accept the fact that I was an A Blush). While they are tighter they do actually seem to fit better and give me a nicer shape.

I have one question. Can I still buy from shops that seem to use the wrong measurements? I usually buy from ASOS/new look/H&M. Or do I have to buy from the good bra places that measure you correctly? And if so what are they all called?

OP posts:
MagicFajita · 01/03/2018 14:31

You can buy from anywhere but I'd recommend going to John Lewis and trying on some curvy kate , panache and freya bras. They have low back/higher cup size options.

MagicFajita · 01/03/2018 14:37

Oh and John Lewis do a lovely plain underwired t shirt bra in various colours and sizes. It's about £20.

zenasfuck · 01/03/2018 14:39

If you’ve measured a 30E the. Start there
Honestly, trust the measurements

AlishaMary · 01/03/2018 14:45

If you try c or d cups when you need an e then your boobs will steal material from the band and you’ll think the 32 band is too small.

smallboobed · 01/03/2018 14:49

Okay I’ll give it a go! Thanks magic will have a look at those.

Going to order a bunch of ASOS ones so I can just try them on and figure out my size first.

I think I can cope with my weird boobs if I can make them look nice in a bra at least!

MaudlinMews · 01/03/2018 14:59

Remember to scoop your breast forward into the cup before standing up. You can go up a cup size just by doing that! — and lose the back fat —

lindyloo57 · 01/03/2018 15:04

i am a size 10 or twelve 31 under bust, i wear a 34D, new bra from marks, but have been wearing this size for 15 or more years, when i take it off i have deep red marks under bust, i tried putting it on back to front [ as been said on here] to find a good fit, its still tight, i tried a DD but cups a bit to big. some of us are just two broad, played a lot of tennis, to make the boob or bust fitting guild work.

CountFosco · 01/03/2018 18:13

Lindyloo I'm a size 10, 30" under the bust and wear a 30F or FF depending on the brashape. But a 34 D wouldn't fit me, the wires would dig into my boobs and not touch my skin between my boobs.

Paintbox · 01/03/2018 19:19

Lindyloo, what I don’t understand is that you said you are broad and therefore wear a 34 bra but you’ve also said you measure 31, so surely you’re not broad? You’re 31 inches, you’re not 34.
