So I’ve booked my first Botox next week. Nearly 46 - having a bit of an overhaul. Threw out lots of old products last week and headed to Debenhams.
Purchased lovely new brightening primer, foundation, blusher and highlighter from Bare Minerals - fab.
Also lovely chunky lip liner and lip gloss from Buxom - fab.
Plus lovely new mascara with silver bits in from YSL- not do impressed as it’s not lengthening at all.
After 12 months of using Elemis and then suddenly starting with patchy dress skin on one side of my face a few weeks ago I also bought Aveeno moisturiser which has helped massively -skin practically back to normal.
What else do I need to treat myself too? I’m on one. Grin

a lovely lush red Chanel lipstick! I've just treated myself to Carmen and I luffs her!

norbert23 · 27/02/2018 14:28

Pillow talk lipstick by Charlotte Tilbury, first thing I've ever bought that's genuinely worth all the hype!

Bella912 · 27/02/2018 14:32

Iconic London highlighter ❤️

onlyonaTuesday · 27/02/2018 18:04

Bella912 · 27/02/2018 18:35

Oh and max factor 2000 calorie mascara - amazing!!

Lottapianos · 27/02/2018 18:39

No7 Moisture Drench and Stay Perfect lipsticks - nice range of colours, completely non drying, don't bleed or shift and cost a bargaintastic tenner. A thousand times better than the Charlotte Tilbury, YSL and Lancome lipsticks I've tried

SukiTheDog · 27/02/2018 19:31

@Lottapianos....agree with No7 recommendation. Brilliant. No funny smell. Not waxy. Moisturising.

norbert23 · 27/02/2018 20:07

Unmitigatedbollocks - it smells amazing and it looks brilliant on. I never really wore any lipstick until this one SmileSmileSmile

Fullfatlatte · 27/02/2018 21:44

Divine cream & Youth Oil from L’Occitane (amazing stuff!). Also anything from Bobbi Brown, I’ve just got addicted! Smile

SukiTheDog · 28/02/2018 09:37

@fullfat.... £78 is out of my budget, sadly. It’d give me lines, worrying about the cost 😊

Anyone tried Indeed Labs Retinol Cream? Gets rave reviews on Boots website. Wondering whether to give it a go. Sorry for hijack OP.

And this, which I have mentioned before, as it is so difficult to get grey eyeshadow palettes.

The Ordinary Resveratrol and Ferulic and their Retinoid.

Great stuff.

cheeseandbiscuitsplease · 28/02/2018 12:06

I like them all 😊
But my favourite is Hypnose

BusterGonad · 28/02/2018 14:20

Lotta are No7 lipsticks really that good? I've got a voucher thingy and as I'm a make up addict I feel like I NEED to use is!

Lottapianos · 28/02/2018 14:33

Go for it Buster. I think they're marvellous. My only tiny criticism would be that most of their colours are pretty 'safe' - they don't have a range of wild and crazy colours like MAC do for example. That said, they do have a very decent choice of colours and they can match you with a range that will work for your skin tone. The formula, like I say, is one of the best I have ever tried. Let me know how you get on!

SavageBeauty73 · 28/02/2018 14:59

Ohhh I have a voucher too so I'm going to buy a lipstick tomorrow

Chicinwellies · 28/02/2018 15:27

No7 stay perfect lippies And nail polishes are fantastic. Their top coat makes my polish last like shellac.

QueenOfGaviscon · 28/02/2018 15:29

Lancôme hypnose mascara!

giddyupnow · 28/02/2018 15:42

Mascara experts: is Lancôme hypnose better than ysl babydoll? About to treat myself to the latter as think it amazing but scared to waste money

3luckystars · 28/02/2018 15:48

Lancôme DOLL EYES mascara in BROWN is the best of the whole lot.

DioxideBlonde · 28/02/2018 16:52

Ren Rosa Centifolia Hot Cloth Cleanser - it shifts every last smidge of makeup, but is really gentle and smells of roses. What's not to love?

Max Factor Masterpiece Intense Mascara in Black - I have tried all the high end brands but this one pisses all over them.

Bobbi Brown Corrector in Bisque - it's pure magic in a little pot. Makes my eyes look like I've had 12 hours sleep.

The Original Granactive Retinoid 2% - bought it after everyone raved about it on here. Only been using it for 6 weeks but skin looks dewy and fresh, and fine lines have faded. It's actually a bit spooky.
