So I’ve booked my first Botox next week. Nearly 46 - having a bit of an overhaul. Threw out lots of old products last week and headed to Debenhams.
Purchased lovely new brightening primer, foundation, blusher and highlighter from Bare Minerals - fab.
Also lovely chunky lip liner and lip gloss from Buxom - fab.
Plus lovely new mascara with silver bits in from YSL- not do impressed as it’s not lengthening at all.
After 12 months of using Elemis and then suddenly starting with patchy dress skin on one side of my face a few weeks ago I also bought Aveeno moisturiser which has helped massively -skin practically back to normal.
What else do I need to treat myself too? I’m on one. Grin

Ha...think my budget isn't quite up to scratch 😆

BusterGonad · 28/02/2018 18:38

Thanks Lotta snow abiding I'll pop into one shortly!

Chicinwellies · 28/02/2018 18:58

Oh no I think the opposite. Hypnose beats baby doll hands down, I go back to H every time . It’s a false economy looking for cheaper ones as I end up buying three to realise that yep, I’d have been better off sticking to Lancôme !

giddyupnow · 01/03/2018 07:08

RIGHT going in for hypnose this weekend, better report back!

Oh, and my shamefully expensive but irreplaceable with dupes product is the hourglass powder in I think candlelight. Amazing.

Hitting up space nk for that today in fact, what else there is particularly good?

My favourite mascara is Benefit I Can’t Believe Their Real (and eyeliner). I’ve had Chanel, Lancôme, YSL and Mac before but the Benefit one wins.

Sunny779 · 01/03/2018 07:23

How about some Novalash extensions instead of mascara. You'll never go back and they look natural

BillywigSting · 01/03/2018 07:40

Another vote for no7 lipsticks.

I have lipsticks from mac, illamasqua, lancome and Chanel and the no7 ones are by far my favourites.

They don't have quite the same staying power as some of the high end ones but feel a million times nicer on, and don't get horrible crusty flaky bits when you touch up.

They don't smell funny, don't slide around, don't bleed and aren't impossible to get off (looking at you illamasqua)

Clinique gently foaming facial cleanser is lovely too, good for the morning in the shower.

Very gentle, not drying, keeps blemishes at bay and smells delicious.

I'm not normally a massive clinique fan but I got some for Christmas and haven't looked back

Checking in...

Thought of some more....

Rimmel BB cream - lovely glowy finish, photographs beautifully and doesn't turn orange as the day goes on

Mascaras - Maybelline Lash Sensational, Rimmel 3D Extra Lash

NARS eyeshadow primer is excellent and worth the money

paceyswife · 01/03/2018 14:57

I used to buy Lancôme mascaras until someone on here mentioned the L'Oréal doll eyes mascara - it's amazing and obvs much cheaper.

creamcheeseandlox · 01/03/2018 17:22

Maybelline lash sensational.

Polkadot1974 · 02/03/2018 19:25

I really want the expensive stuff but will maybe try the no 7 lipstick on my budget (got s voucher!)
