Help! My lips are really dry and cracked and nothing I've tried seems to help. I've tried Burts Bees and Carmex, as well as Vaseline. Wondered if anyone has any recommendations? Happy to spend a bit on something that works. Thanks!

Vaseline is shite, you don't want anything with petroleum in it. Makes your lips burn and dry up even more.

Try EOS.

Bringmewineandcake · 13/02/2018 16:39

I would go for a straight forward lipsyl, then maintain with Vaseline aloe Vera. I’ve been using it for years now and never get dry lips anymore.

ladyirish · 13/02/2018 16:43

I use nuxe find it great

endofacentury · 13/02/2018 16:45

Liz Earle superskin lip balm in a tube is lovely

MadameJosephine · 13/02/2018 16:50

Lansinoh. I know it’s for nipples but it’s fantastic for sore chapped lips

Appuskidu · 13/02/2018 16:56

Nuxe-we all use it in this house now; amazing stuff.

RedPanda25 · 13/02/2018 17:13

Thanks all! This Nuxe one?

Another vote for lansinoh, or if you want a less “hey, I’m using nipple cream” version then the jo Malone vitamin E lip balm is gorgeous and very similar.

twirlbite · 13/02/2018 17:16

Neutrogena is worth trying.

astoundedgoat · 13/02/2018 17:17

Bobbi Brown. Nice little tin too. Lasts FOREVER.

Skibunny1980 · 13/02/2018 17:19

Yes that nuxe one. Have a look on the nuxe or m&s websites as they sometimes have offers or sets

bakingbee · 13/02/2018 17:27

Eve lom Kiss mix is amazing! Luckily I got it for free in liberty beauty gift....

Ollivander84 · 13/02/2018 17:33

Hurraw moon balm. I got mine off eBay but they have a website

missmorleyme · 13/02/2018 17:40

Nivea lip balm helped me and im terrible for dry and cracked lips in the winter, plus i cake my lips in vaseline just before i go to sleep, mainly because i have a split in the middle of my bottom lip that splits open every year without fail, plus it does help the dryness.

twoplytwoply · 13/02/2018 17:41

Jack black lip balm, from boots (usually have to order to store online). Best lip balm ever.

I'm sensitive to petroleum based products, mineral oil and allergic to lanolin so have to be careful what lip balm I choose!

Dermalogica lip renewal

ParadiseLaundry · 13/02/2018 18:09

The ONLY thing that sorts my lips out when theyre like that is good old fashioned Blistex. Only £2 in Pound world too!

Although I do remember the Nuxe one being good too. Everything else seems to actively dry my lips out Hmm

DuckOffAutocorrectYouShiv · 13/02/2018 18:12

I agree, the only lip product worth buying is Blistex. The one in the white, red & blue metal tube. Most of the others just give a layer of surface grease. The Blistex cream actually moisturises and gives relief.

DuckOffAutocorrectYouShiv · 13/02/2018 18:13

I’m not a fan of the texture of the Nuxe one, it’s gritty.

ReluctantlyRedundant101 · 13/02/2018 19:19

I bought the Nuxe stick one after recommendation on here & I'm not overly impressed Hmm
Is the pot better?

OutyMcOutface · 13/02/2018 19:22

The very best is Jurlique Love Ball available from debhanams. The next best thing is pure Paw Paw Ointment (the one in the red tub with black print is the best). I have always suffered with dry lips and find nothing else works.

trumptown · 13/02/2018 19:23

The best I've ever found is Elizabeth Arden 8 hours cream. I use it on my lips every night.

yellowDahlia · 13/02/2018 19:37

I second Elizabeth Arden 8 hour - I use it every day and have done for ages with no problem. you can get it in a little lip balm tin although I assume it's the same as the stuff you get in a tube. Also Blistex for when my lips are especially dry or cracked but I use it more sparingly.

CantChoose · 13/02/2018 20:16

Another vote for 8 hour cream
