Week 5 of the third boot camp of 2007, everyone is welcome.

The rules (anyone can join):

This is about feeling better about yourself...not necessarily a diet per se etc etc

  • Sunscreen at all times. I know it's winter, there are still rays trying to damage your skin
  • No or little booze. Wine at the weekend is allowed if you want it
  • Walking is important, a small amount every day if possible. 30 mins if you can
  • Lots of water, aim for 2 litres a day
  • Apply body cream as often as possible
  • Use hand cream
  • Go to bed early, by 10.30pm if pos
  • Eat healthily
  • Be happy

The idea is that at the end of six weeks we all feel happier, healthier and glow with the good food, sleep, exercise, water and lack of sun damage.

Sobernow, it could be worse you know. I am looking and sounding more like my mother...

WideWebWitch · 06/05/2007 20:51

at Sobernow, you do make me lol regularly!

MI, thanks for the photos, I won't reciprocate or your PC will blow up (or Mac or whatever it is) And they are not bad, really not. I may pin one of my worst ones to the fridge as a daily incentive.

Marina, sorry you're feeling grotty, be kind to yourself and have dispensation to do whatever it takes to get better

Winne, I'm glad the walk helped and I'm glad you're remembering that you can do it, good for you.

Batters, mmm at Indian food, we're having a takeaway tonight too but I am being virtuous ish and having tandoori chicken, so that's someting. And I've just had a small glass of wine and will drink some more but not a silly amount. It's my lie in tomorrow and what with all the shenanigans last night I didn't get to bed til 1am and then was up at 6.30am so that won't be helping how I feel...

Today was rubbish
toast x 2 with lots of butter and Marmite
2 x white hotdog type roll with organic sausage, no butter though and brown sauce for lunch
100cal packet of crisps as we were wandering around town
and oh god, that's it so far. How odd. I've been upstairs reading the papers and mags for the last hour or 2 and I have just not thought about eating. I feel sure I must have forgotten something but no, I don't think so.
Oh well, maybe not THAT bad a day after all then.

I will start a new thread tomorrow, which will be week 6 of the third so anyone who's been here from the start will ahve done EIGHTEEN weeks. I reckon 18 weeks of trying is better than 18 weeks of carrying on as normal, well done everyone
