Bras for small of boob

PrincessWatermelon · 02/02/2018 09:02

Since bfing both my children and then losing a stone and a half my once fairly small boobs are now pathetic! I reckon I'm an A or maybe just about a B. Probably 32 back. My stomach sticks out further than them! (Not helped by muscle separation due to giant babies).

Anyway. Any recommendations on where to buy bras? I'd like padded ones to create an illusion Smile Thanks

Wonderbra are expensive but they do work!

0ccamsRazor · 02/02/2018 09:32

hear are some tips from Cosmopolitan. Can you have a child free day with a friend and go for a serious bra hunt? Your friend could supply you with sizes (band and cup) up or down whilst you try them on.

Roomba · 02/02/2018 09:34

Oh lord, I misread your title as 'smell' of bra and thought you were a hairy handed troll Grin Clearly I need more coffee this morning (and possibly some new specs).

I second the Wonderbra recommendation - not cheap but work well for me.

PrincessWatermelon · 02/02/2018 12:08

I am happy to pay! At the moment I'm gaping and it's ridiculous. Long story, but I was going to be having breast surgery, but now not. So planning on embracing what I have.

Taking a friend is a very good idea. It's a nightmare trying to go back and forth with different sizes and styles as they all need to be tried on.

Do most department stores (Debenhams, JL, M&S) do small sizes in Wonderbra do you think? I've had a quick look and they're mainly B or C as smallest.

Primark. I'm a 32b and buy pretty much all of mine there. Can generally get a bra and thong set for a fiver. The one advantage to little boobs.

dementedpixie · 02/02/2018 12:43

thebetterbracampaign.blogspot.co.uk/p/fitting-advice.html?m=1 measure according to this to get a better idea of your size.

userabcname · 02/02/2018 12:52

Oh OP embrace it! I used to be a 32 B - those were the days! I used to buy bras in Debenhams that enhance your cup size by 1-2 sizes to wear under 'nice' dresses / tops but other than that I had cheapie primark sets and they were so comfy. I'm now breastfeeding and a 36 E - sodding nightmare. I hope mine shrink when I stop!

Wellhellothere1 · 02/02/2018 15:03

I'm a 34a (just!) and I wear Mimi Wow bras from Next. Awful name but they are great. They are padded and supposed to make your boobs 2 sizes bigger.

LoniceraJaponica · 02/02/2018 15:06

What dress size are you Wellhello?
I wore a 34A for years, but after reading the bra intervention threads on here I am now a 32B and look so much better for it.

dementedpixie · 02/02/2018 15:06

Are you sure you are an A cup pp? I suspect your back size is bigger than it needs to be and hence your cup size is smaller than it should be.

Fluffycloudland77 · 02/02/2018 15:10

I thought I was a 32c until I got measured in bravissimo, I'm a 28dd/e now.

32c was easier to buy though. My bra straps don't fall down all the time now though.

Fluffycloudland77 · 02/02/2018 15:11

www.enhancebra.com/#/ this is meant to work but I can't afford it tight now.

Fluffycloudland77 · 02/02/2018 15:11

Right not tight 🙄

Wellhellothere1 · 02/02/2018 16:10

lonicera I'm a size 8 and really skinny on top with very little fat above my waist. Not a stealth boast as I have fat on my tummy, legs and bum 😀 I'm sure I'm an A cup as my boobs are almost completely flat (sob!)

LoniceraJaponica · 02/02/2018 16:12

As a size 8 I doubt that your underbust measurement is 34 in. Can you measure it now?

Wellhellothere1 · 02/02/2018 16:41

I will-as soon as I can find a tape measure!

PrincessWatermelon · 02/02/2018 17:10

I've just measured myself. I'm 30.5 inches. I don't know what the cup size is. I know it's not 32C though, as those gap so badly! Need to look at that link about bra fittings.

I'll have a look at Primark, as that'd be good for bulk. And then some nicer ones too. Also the Next ones sound worth a look. I like the idea of 2 sizes bigger!!

OP posts:
Fluffycloudland77 · 02/02/2018 17:31

So you're a 30 band size then.

PrincessWatermelon · 02/02/2018 17:34

That sounds even harder to find in a normal department store!

OP posts:
Fluffycloudland77 · 02/02/2018 17:37

You'll just scrape through in most stores now in a 30.

PrincessWatermelon · 02/02/2018 17:42

I've just dangled my boobs over and done the other measurement to calculate the cup size, from DementedPixie's link.

I'm 30 (.5) chest and then 34 boobs. Which would be 30C. But my boobs (when drooped forward) are like spaniel ears. So I think that the 34" may be false advertising. When my boobs are sitting in a bra, there's almost a concave top to them where there's not enough substance!

Obviously I need to go try some on, but 30B or 30C maybe where I need to start.

OP posts:
rightknockered · 02/02/2018 17:46

Did you pull the tape measure as tight as possible when doing the chest measurement? Are you sure it was straight. I'm a size 6, sometimes an 8, depending on the shop, and my under boob measurement is 27.

MagicFajita · 02/02/2018 17:49

I think your underbust measurement might be a bit off too op. I'm a 12/14 and my underbust is 31.5.

PrincessWatermelon · 02/02/2018 17:53

It was pretty tight, but maybe not enough. I'm an 8/10. Will try again...

OP posts:
PrincessWatermelon · 02/02/2018 17:54

And how tight do you pull it around the boobs?
