Rigby and Peller has lost its Royal Warrant

The story is unclear whether the Queen still uses them or if the Palace was just annoyed about the book. I can't imagine anyone else getting the gig for the royal corseterie, however - hardly likely that they will ask someone from the M&S on Victoria Street to pop over with a few samples instead, is it?

Hear she's more of a Victoria Secrets kinda gal these days

MyAimIsTrue · 11/01/2018 20:41

They were talking about royal bra fittings in the book - no wonder their warrant was dropped!

Really? The wrote about Her Majesty's undergarments?

I'm no Royalist but behaviour like that just will not do.

Queenie should go to ASDA. Their bras are really good.

megletthesecond · 11/01/2018 20:48

R&P have shot themselves in the foot with this one.

ArcheryAnnie · 11/01/2018 21:09

It sounds like she didn't write about them, just that she'd been to the palace. Has anyone read her book?

Anyway, I don't care. Still the best bras in the world, and the best bra-fitters. I spend more money on R&P bras than I do for all the rest of my other clothes combined.

LunaTheCat · 11/01/2018 21:14

My dream is to go to Rigby and Peller.
I don’t live in UK but will be going to London later in the year.
?do you have to book an appointment in advance.

ShiftyMcGifty · 11/01/2018 21:35

Yes, Ľuna you should. Sometimes on weekdays the Conduit branch isn’t busy and can do a fitting without an appointment, but it’s still the first thing they ask.. do you need a fitting? Have you made an appointment?

ShiftyMcGifty · 11/01/2018 21:36

Ditto archery. I have knickers and bras that are going strong a decade later Blush

squoosh · 11/01/2018 21:44

I feel sorry for Rigby and Peller to be honest. As far as I can tell it's an ex-owner who released this book. A big blow for the company to take for something that was beyond their control.

ZaZathecat · 11/01/2018 21:45

I think I saw HMaj in Ann Summers on Saturday.

squoosh · 11/01/2018 21:46

Although it seems this woman still has a place on the R&P board. I'd imagine the next board meeting will be a teensy bit tense!

Judashascomeintosomemoney · 11/01/2018 21:49

For a sec there I confused Rigby and Peller with Penn and Teller. Thought this was going to be a very interesting thread. Anyway, Liz wears Gossard Wonderbra now.

RippleEffects · 11/01/2018 21:50

A bit off thread but I'd love to know, what sort of money are you talking about for a bra in Rigby and Peller?

K1092902 · 11/01/2018 21:52

I've never had to book an appointment although granted it must be 4 years I was last there. I always go to the one on kings road.

I have one that one hook broke off 6 years later a couple of weeks ago but when your paying £80 for a bra you would hope it would last that long

squoosh · 11/01/2018 21:53

I think around the £150 mark.

OlennasWimple · 11/01/2018 21:53

Depends if you go to their store, or their factory shop Ripple Wink

OP posts:
K1092902 · 11/01/2018 21:53

Ripple I have never seen a bra in there under £50 and then your talking plain white/black

K1092902 · 11/01/2018 21:54

Olenna tell me where this mystical outlet is please!!

BlooBagoo · 11/01/2018 21:58

She'll be throwing an Ann Summers hen do for Meghan soon enough then... Wink

Bobbins43 · 11/01/2018 21:58

They shouldn't have been talking about anyone heaving their bra fitted and giving that many specifics to be honest. I wouldn't have liked it if the woman from Bravissimo wrote about me either

brizzledrizzle · 11/01/2018 21:59

It will be good for book sales, probably quite uplifting in fact.

Hauntedlobster · 11/01/2018 22:01

I’ve read some excerpts, i think it’s incredible poor form to talk about anyone’s bra fittings.

Hauntedlobster · 11/01/2018 22:01

I think they lost the queens support with this move.
