Do you wear brogues?

I tend to wear just boots on the winter and thought I would try some brogues.

I like a chunky sole, I’ve seen a few pairs in John Lewis I quite like.

What about patent -yay or neh?

Yes I do and I love them :)

Do you wear with both trousers and skirts?

Yes, for work, with skirts and trousers. I had Clark’s Hambling Oaks in pewter and in black, and some similar from Next boys’ range in navy.

Yes! I have a pewter pair and a tan (non leather) pair but have just splashed out on the most gorgeous Sam Edelman tan leather pair.

I wear them mostly with Ankle grazer slim trousers and sometimes with dresses and opaque tights.

Wear brogues all the time.
Great for work with skirt or trousers.

Brogues, Chelsea boots, or Stan Smiths are my staple footwear. I have many pairs of each.

Another vote for Hamble Oaks from Clarks.

I love the two coloured hambles. Wide trousers and skinny ankle trousers in winter and a line skirts in summer. I'm at an age where i can't carry off granny chic any more, so need to wear carefully.

As above I never know how to wear them. Socks? Colour? Dreaded pop socks? Trousers turned up? What style skirt?

Yes. Hamble oaks in pewter and a great red or dead pair in burgundy. Love them both!

I have 2 pairs of hamble oaks in oxblood patent and multicolour tweed. I also have a buttery soft tan leather pair from Hudson which I wear in spring summer time. I also have a jazzy silver pair from new look.

I love brogues and my podiatrist says they are the best sole/heel height for my plantar fasciitis.

I love my brogues. Have a pair of vintage church's in tan and a black pair of grensons with the light sole. Perfect with skirts and cropped trousers. So comfy

They say ankle socks but they pull up to knee length and don’t fall down.

I love Hamble Oak brogues and have 4 pairs. They go with skirts, dresses, ankle trousers, skinny jeans, everything.

I wear footsie things in mine.

My work shoes are black patent brogues from Clarks, smart and super comfy.

Yes I love them. Mine are patent black with tan sold. They were from the old NW3 Hobbs line. I really miss NW3!!

I think socks are fine! Ive just got some new dr martens 3989 brogues which are great for the chunky sole, and will last probably forever (most of my DMs are ancient and all are undefeated)
