What do you think of this jumpsuit?

I'm 20 weeks pregnant, reasonable bump but not enough to justify maternity wear just yet, and I've got a black tie event which I thought I was sorted for (was going to wear a knee length blue lace dress) but it turns out everyone is wearing full on black tie/long dresses!

I've bought this jumpsuit in the phase eight sale and it is so comfortable but now I've got it home I'm worried it's a bit 80s and not suited to a size 14-16 pregnant woman!

The dress looks beautiful on you. You have fantastic legs!

The jumpsuit isn't great. Makes you look like a (very pretty) ship in full sail.

Itchytights · 14/12/2017 18:59

You look a million dollars Smile

Beautiful!

Have a lovely time.

RumAppleGinger · 14/12/2017 18:59

Go for the dress. You look lovely in it and your legs look great. It's much more flattering and definitely dressy enough.

tilligan · 14/12/2017 19:00

Not really “black tie” though. Do you have any friends who might be able to lend you anything?

Itchytights · 14/12/2017 19:01

I disagree Tilligan

Definitely dressy enough.

DavetheCat2001 · 14/12/2017 19:02

The dress looks stunning on you OP.

DeltaG · 14/12/2017 19:06

The jumpsuit makes you look 'big' instead of pregnant and the bronze top part looks much more dull than on the website....kind of brownish Confused

Dress is miles better than the jumpsuit and looks lovely.

I sympathise, I'm 35 weeks now and constantly in the same few outfits!

ItsYuleyme · 14/12/2017 19:06

Brutally honest here!

I've changed my mind about the jumpsuit after seeing the absolutely gorgeous and cute little dress.
Gorgeous legs!
Hardly shows a bump!
After being 100% for jumpsuit.
The black dress wins. You look gorgeous in it.
And totally suitable for black tie.

Fekko · 14/12/2017 19:07

Another vote for that lovely dress!

elmo1980 · 14/12/2017 19:12

Haha at 'ship in full sail'!

Thank you so much for your responses I will stick with the shorter dress, even though it may not be quite dressy enough but I'm sure they will still let me in! Thanks again knew I could count on mn for honesty Smile

That dress is gorgeous, it suits you and you have lovely legs.

Also, going to the loo will be a lot easier Grin

uncoolnn · 14/12/2017 19:27

Just to echo most others, the jumpsuit doesn't really do you any favours but the dress looks gorgeous Smile

Arronsmissus · 14/12/2017 19:32

Oh dress is gorgeous on you!!!

FluffyFerrets · 14/12/2017 19:34

Dress 100%
You look lovely.

newmum7369 · 14/12/2017 19:38

Definitely dress, I wish I looked like that when I was pregnant or even now nearly 5 months after DS was born.

Smitff · 14/12/2017 19:59

Dress, definitely.

Great pins btw. Mine were water retention central both times round!

MsHomeSlice · 14/12/2017 19:59

oh deffo the dress, much nicer on than the jump suit and with some good shoes and lovely tights you will look fabulous!

BumWad · 14/12/2017 20:02

Dress is gorgeous! (Where’s it from btw?)

MayFayner · 14/12/2017 20:07

I vote for the dress too!

Bluntness100 · 14/12/2017 20:08

The dress is lovely. The jumpsuit does nothing for you.

elmo1980 · 14/12/2017 20:14

Ooh thanks for the leg comments Blush

Dress is from m&s got it beginning of summer for a couple of weddings so getting my monies worth!

Someone mentioned tights gah hadn't thought of that thought bare legged would be fine. I'm not a fan of flesh coloured as it makes me feel like my mum but should I wear them??

Being brutally honest the jumpsuit isn't very flattering. It looks too big and swamps you. The dress is so much nicer on you. Really flattering and you have fantastic legs so definitely show them off.

BubblesPip · 14/12/2017 20:54

The dress is lovely and very very flattering!! You’ll look gorgeous

elmo1980 · 14/12/2017 21:57

Yes that's the one though mine is navy blue they didn't have those colours when I bought it.
