Can anyone recommend a product for these? I've splashed £££s this month on various skincare as I'm looking old (people are beginning to comment!) but after studying my bare face earlier I've noticed really, really dark circles - under my eyes and round the socket up to my eyelid. They are purplish, almost as if I have black eyes!

People are commenting on the fact that you're ageing!? How extremely bloody rude.

Refrigerated teaspoons are still the best things for eyes. Apart from joe de vivre Wink

Battleax · 20/11/2017 17:12

Or even joie de vivre Grin

MeIAm · 20/11/2017 17:19

"Tough day? You look like you've aged about 10 years these past few weeks!" said by one usually lovely colleague Hmm

I googled joie de vivre excitedly, hoping to see a wonder product Grin Guess I'd best a couple of teaspoons in the fridge!

Ah sorry Smile

Put dandelions in her tea. Rude woman.

roobrr · 20/11/2017 17:22

Can't recommend any products to get rid I'm afraid, mine are awful, looks like I have black eyes most days.. But Benefit's boi-ing is an AMAZING concealer Smile

MeIAm · 20/11/2017 17:27

Is that very cakey roobrr? Just looked and found industrial strength one, is that the correct one?

I use maybelline erase eye concealer it’s very reasonable £ and has been the best one I have used by far

I do also like benefit boi ing but find the maybelline one easier to apply and more manipulable under eye

ElspethFlashman · 20/11/2017 17:32

You need to get the Maybelline Age Remind in the pink shade, Neutralizer it's called. Omg it's amazing.

Nyx have a v good corrector in several colours but this definitely beats even that.

roobrr · 20/11/2017 17:33

Not cakey, very creamy texture and a little goes a long way!

They do 3 types so it's down to preference Smile I use the industrial strength, although did go and try the airbrush (heavy and creased around my eyes) and brightening one.

Bobbi Brown do an excellent colour corrector to go under concealer and it comes in loads of different shades for different skin tones: Corrector

ABuckToothedGirlinLuxembourg · 20/11/2017 17:57

A decent concealer, nothing else works.

JannerBird · 20/11/2017 17:57

I know this is Style and Beauty but my dark circles all but disappeared when I gave up caffeine.

Oblomov17 · 20/11/2017 18:00

Seriously, Does nothing else work?

there must be something we can do? It’s all very well trying out new concealers, but I’m trying to find a way to reduce the actual problem.

mercurymaze · 20/11/2017 18:02

Bobbi Brown do a corrector thats v effective

Nomoresugar · 20/11/2017 18:04

my dark circles all but disappeared when I gave up caffeine

I may have to try this. I'm a coffee addict

Fosterdog123 · 20/11/2017 18:06

No, nothing works other than tear trough fillers. It's not the skin that's discoloured - it's the hollows underneath the skin casting shadows.

formerbabe · 20/11/2017 18:08

I also love the Benefit Boing concealer. I find it has a really nice consistency. Good coverage but not cakey.

ScaryMary81 · 20/11/2017 18:09

Benefit Erase Paste - a little goes a long way!

I'm also a fellow coffee addict, which is interesting.

PaxUniversalis · 20/11/2017 18:10

Yep. Less coffee, more caffeine-free herbal teas and water. Exercise regularly, get plenty of fresh air and be sure to get enough sleep too.

Jellyheadbang · 20/11/2017 19:07

Neal's Yard frankincense intense eye cream is good for dark circles.

trainedopossum · 20/11/2017 19:08

I keep reading (here?) that The Ordinary caffeine stuff is good. I'm keen to try it myself.

user1484311384 · 20/11/2017 19:13

Benefit Erase Paste - amazing - and lasts ages. Wouldn't use anything else!!! I have very sensitive skin and it never gives me any problems.Completely disguises dark circles and doesn't crease.

PhyllisWig · 20/11/2017 19:57

I've been using the ordinary stuff and they appear a bit better. Still huge (genetic) but better/I look perkier

ohbigdaddio · 20/11/2017 23:40

I'm still umming and ahhing about tear trough fillers as I HATE my dark circles but will watch this thread with interest! I use a Mac perfect and prime colour corrector with a concealer on top. Concealer alone is not enough for mine.

Fabellini · 20/11/2017 23:46

Urban Decay do a range of colour correcting concealers that are absolutely brilliant - here - I can personally vouch for the green, and the peach.
Put them on under foundation, they make such a difference!
