What's your favourite day moisturiser

And why? What is your skin type?
Day cream is something I’m really struggling with and cannot find one I love. I want something really hydrating and creamy that just melts into skin leaving behind No residue. Not perfumed either as I have very reactive skin! Skin is combination but I suffer badly with dehydration. Fed up!

This one from marks www.marksandspencer.com/innovate-sos-anti-stress-cream-50ml/p/p22451100?image=SD_07_T22_6862_NC_X_EC_0&color=NOCOLOUR&prevPage=srp&pdpredirect

I have sensitive / eczema prone skin and I find this just right.

Also rate pretty much anything from nuxe but that tends to be a bit more perfumed

Zerobase. Prescribed by my GP for red, dry itchy skin. I’ve spent years and £££ on skincare products and the only one I can’t fault is Aldi’s faux La Prairie Skin Caviar Luxe

Cakescakescakes · 06/11/2017 23:49

I use The Ordinary serums so have been looking for a ‘plain’ moisturiser if you know what I mean to go on top - something that is hydrating, non greasy and not fragranced either. I have hit the jackpot with Simple Hydrating Light Moisturiser which is about £3. It is better than the Clinique, Estee Lauder, Superfacialist ones etc that I’ve tried. I have combination skin and it sinks in nicely and doesn’t make me oily or shiny. I can’t believe it is so cheap.

Taytotots · 07/11/2017 01:55

I was just about to suggest the moogoo one too tiredbadger. I have the anti-ageing SPF 15 one but they do others too. Many of their prices are aimed at sensitive skin.

Ineedmorelemonpledge · 07/11/2017 06:48

@weetabix07 i use the cleansing lotion and the moisturising lotion. It’s a one stop shop because I use it all over the body too.

weetabix07 · 07/11/2017 08:25

Thank you 👍🏻👍🏻

Rainbowglow · 07/11/2017 10:55

Cicalfate by Avene.

moonmaker · 07/11/2017 11:57

Dior dreamskin melts instantly and I love it but it’s costly so don’t use it daily .
My daily moisturiser is the itreatskin hydrating cream which is pure aloe Vera gel and orange . It hydrated perfectly , calms down redness , gives me a glow and is absorbs really well . It’s also great as a primer .

Wineandworkout · 07/11/2017 12:02

Have you tried Doublebase cream? My son had it prescribed for dry skin when he was a baby and I really liked using it on my face. It's fragrance free and has a light, gel-like texture. I think you have to get it from the pharmacy ... they do small tubes and big bottles. If you tried it and don't like it on your face it would be an excellent and cheap hand/body lotion, so nothing lost ...

Itscurtainsforyou · 07/11/2017 12:04

I've just bought a philosophy cream (not opened but tried a sample first and it was good). I think it's called take a deep breath.

I have similar skin to you OP so might be worth getting a sample.

Alwaysinmyheart · 07/11/2017 12:17

I have sensitive skin and find both Eucerin and La Roche Posay to be effective and don’t make my skin sting!

Claricestarling1 · 08/11/2017 19:59

Embryolisse lait creme moisturiser..amazing!! Feels very clean and absorbs so quickly.

gingercat02 · 08/11/2017 20:04

Origins Plantscription but you may not be as old as me. It's gorgeous but not sure if it's fragrance free. It's definitely not perfumed in my opinion

Greylilypad · 08/11/2017 20:05

I use Kiehls Ultra Facial in summer but need something more rich /hydrating in winter as heating etc makes my skin so dry and tight . I use La Roche Posay Nutritic Riche.

ChardonnaysPrettySister · 08/11/2017 20:09

I stopped buying the chocolates, they are the ones with palm oil.

I don't like the slabs anyway, so that was easy.

ChardonnaysPrettySister · 08/11/2017 20:09

Oh, sorry.

BagelGoesWalking · 08/11/2017 22:42

This?

BagelGoesWalking · 08/11/2017 22:47

And just today someone mentioned Rosette Ceramide Aqua Gel available on Amazon or eBay (can’t remember which).

Shiela2017 · 08/11/2017 22:51

I use lush face creams and sweet almond oil mixed with rosehip oil underneath. All organic 😊 I use pixi glow tonic toner and a loccitaine foam facewash and my skin has never been better. I'm usually spotty with eczema

Mmmmmmmchips · 09/11/2017 01:43

I have tried so many and the one I've bought 3 times now is the Eucerin Aquaporin Active SPF 25.
I have normal skin leaning combo but gets dehydrated very quickly.
This really helps, isn't crazy price and I pick it up on 3 for 2 at Boots and definitely doesn't have a fragrance and leaves no residue - and I have tried loads. And you can see it says fragrance free (and that I've stocked up!)
Try it.

Thanks everyone for being so helpful.

I've started using The Ordinary moisturiser and really like it. No irritation and sinks in well leaving a nice surface for makeup.
Not perfumed at all.

QuilliamCakespeare · 09/11/2017 06:58

I use Elemis Hydroboost day cream on my very sensitive skin but it does have a little scent. Marine Cream is lovely and rich but about £70 a pot and quiet heavily (beautifully) scented.

SukiTheDog · 09/11/2017 10:41

Fade Out SPF 25. Inexpensive and has made a huge difference to my face. I didn’t have huge pigmentation patches to fade but it has brightened and evened out my complexion better than anything I’ve used previously. Very underrated product imo.
