Converse owners - quick poll on sizing

I usually take a 4.5 but have read that they are usually bigger than their labelled size, yet when I read reviews from schuh and Amazon they are either spot on or too small.

So here is a poll for the sizing for the All Stars style (not dainty) if you own a pair. Are they

a - smaller than labelled size, therefore take a size up
b - spot on
c - bigger than the labelled size, therefore take a size down.

I think you have to watch for the conversion between sizes. IME a 7 can be a 40 or a 41 and that's where your mis sizing comes in.

Having said that I usually get something with 7 on and I have old/new/hi/low ones and they all seem fine.

Can I add though that for me, the low ones are HUGE but high tops spot on.

There is a size chart on the converse Website where you measure your foot and tells you the size.

I think it depends on the width of your feet. I always go up half a size but I have wide feet. Whereas DD has narrow feet and has to go down a size.

Thanks everyone. I'll have a look on the converse website for the feet measuring chart, so thanks to the poster who mentioned that. The Amazon chart recommends 4.5 for me.

Always spot on, I love them because I have narrow feet, if you have quite wide feet you might feel they are a bit small.

I’m between a 3 and 4, depending on brand and shoe type. Always go for 3 in Converse and although they’re a little bit snug at first (plasters on my heels to stop blisters).
I always find they stretch a bit and if I size up they end up too big, where as the smaller size a few wears in are perfect.
