I'm going back to wearing skinny jeans

I wore some today, my word they were comfortable. I loved the snug feel.
Sick of what are basically wide jeans.
But I need new ones.
Black ones, and dark indigo I think. Which ones are good, don't go baggy, don't fade and are under £100? Preferably. Could go up to £170 for very good black ones that don't fade.

Another Levi’s vote here. I have the 721s and they are amazing. Never bag, can wear time and again, and the waist is nice and high (711s are the lower waist version).

Hoyhoy.

I do like the Asda ones, but I've managed to destroy two pairs in the last couple of months due to thigh rub. They're not crazy tight so it's not that I'm buying the wrong size.

I'm definitely going back to Dorothy Perkins. They're not much different price wise to be honest.

angrymummy2018 · 20/10/2017 08:26

I get mine from M&S. Lovely and comfy and stretchy. I guess they're jeggings?

BoredOnMatLeave · 20/10/2017 11:11

Another vote for Matalan! They are better than my Topshop, M&S, Next and Levi jeans.

I do like my next 360 black as they have stayed really black but I've lost a little bit of weight and now they look awful and baggy.

Another vote for Jigsaw Richmonds. I've also bought a couple of new pairs on eBay for a lot less than they cost in the shop.

cad186 · 20/10/2017 11:59

The Eden jeggings go really baggy on the knees very quickly for me.

megletthesecond · 20/10/2017 12:01

yy Ktown. I'd love to wear a slight flare but they look crap in wet weather. So skinnies it is.

Nameless21 · 20/10/2017 12:07

Gap would have been my go-to for skinnies but they've changed their fabric and cut and I can't find a nice pair now. Just ordered 5 pairs from HoF - Mint Velvet, Armani x2 and Levis x 2. The Levi 721's are fantastic on - am really impressed .... only problem is they're a 32"leg via HoF so will need to get a 30" leg via Levi Store. Mint Velvet would have been second choice.

I wear Primark (I would never guess that they're only £11 or whatever they are), hollister, and River Island Molly.
Have had great pairs from Tesco and Oasis before too.

I don't like heavy denim though, so other people might consider the denim fabric to be 'cheap'

AlyTab · 20/10/2017 12:34

I always wear skinny jeans. Most of the time black ones. In fact, I've never worn any other types of jeans.

I just buy cheap pairs. Really don't see the point in buying more expensive ones if they're just black. Mines don't fade either, and the ones I have last forever too, but that's just my opinion, you do you.

PNGirl · 20/10/2017 15:39

I like ASOS Ridley, Topshop Jamie, and Gap True Skinny.

MaisieDotes · 20/10/2017 18:14

I have two pairs of black Topshop Jamie jeans and they have both completely faded and they also have weird little runs/ small holes in them. Weird as I am not hard on clothes at all. My blue Jamies are still perfect though- they are made from different, better quality denim than the black ones.

With your budget I would check out j brand on the outnet. They are in a different league to the high street jeans and last and last. The black does not fade either.

AccrualIntentions · 20/10/2017 18:16

Definitely Topshop Jamie. Looking forward to getting back into mine post pregnancy.

FormerlyFrikadela01 · 20/10/2017 18:20

After a lot of searching and a budget of up to £100 I ended up with the asda wonderful Jeans. They are still a nice black a year later with no stretching out and none of the thigh wear out from chub rub some people have experienced.

abitoflight · 20/10/2017 18:29

I’m with Annabelle on this
I may try Primark ones again - last bought 4 years ago but sat in wrong place on hips/waist area
I like thinner ones. I think more comfortable
I loved River Island Molly until they started making them thicker - luckily I had 4 pairs of the black thinner ones but these are getting so threadbare nowHmm
