I'm going back to wearing skinny jeans

I wore some today, my word they were comfortable. I loved the snug feel.
Sick of what are basically wide jeans.
But I need new ones.
Black ones, and dark indigo I think. Which ones are good, don't go baggy, don't fade and are under £100? Preferably. Could go up to £170 for very good black ones that don't fade.

Yep love my next 360 also crew black ones are also lovely

Pastacube · 19/10/2017 19:55

Lee Scarlett cheap in tk maxx

Jigsisaw · 19/10/2017 19:58

Funny you should say that. Today i wore tommy hilfiger work trousers and they were annoyingly loose. All day i felt like a bag lady. Expensive trousers and they just look like they need to be accessorised with a trolley..

Wishfulmakeupping · 19/10/2017 20:00

Another vote for Matalan Ines they do not go baggy like every other type I've tried

JessiCake · 19/10/2017 20:05

Was never a fan of Gap jeans but actually my latest pair from them are absolutely fab, they weren't cheap (£70 full price, though I did use a 25% discount) but are looking fab after a lot of washes, no gap at the back and a true skinny fit (which works for me, I can't do even the merest hint of a straight leg, I need them super-skinny).

Good dark denim and they feel excellent quality unlike the majority of the tat Gap produce these days

numbmum83 · 19/10/2017 20:05

Asda ones are meant to come well recommended £25 ones.

Mumthedogsbeensick · 19/10/2017 20:08

Do any of the recommended jeans have that awful smell some black jeans have? My last pair from New Look absolutely stunk. I ended up throwing them away

NikiBabe · 19/10/2017 20:21

@JessiCake I stopped buying Gap jeans years ago for the same reason. Ill fitting and not great quality. But I think they have improved. I tentatively bought one pair of skinny jeans and then bought another pair in a darker shade as I was so impressed.

I like that they do curvy skinny as I have very wide hips in proportion to my waist. In most skinny jeans I have to go up a size but then the waist ban will gape at the back. Because the curvys are designed to be fuller in the hip and seat, my regular size fitted perfectly and the waist band doesnt gape.

GoGoGazelle · 19/10/2017 21:12

Levi shaping skinny are fab but I can only afford them when in TKMaxx. Edens are good but only last me one winter.

Afternooncatnap · 19/10/2017 21:14

Topshop Jamie jeans are the best skinny jeans you can get.

trumptown · 19/10/2017 21:19

Jigsaw Richmonds are great, around £90 but really soft and just stretchy enough and keep their shape and colour. I have them in black. Also the £19 M&S ones that were in Mumsnet recommends this month.

trumptown · 19/10/2017 21:19

Sorry it was mumsnet swears by..

MiniTheMinx · 19/10/2017 21:19

I like Ted Baker jeans. Had one pair now for three years, still my favourites and holding out. They make my average bum look like a fab bum. I recently used dylon to restore the colour. They have 27s

trumptown · 19/10/2017 21:20

And it was last month!!

Hairq · 19/10/2017 21:27

Another vote for DP Eden jeggings. Cheap as chips, hold their shape and don't fade (well mine haven't so far and have been washed and worn constantly for a few months).

jemimafuddleduck · 19/10/2017 21:29

Another vote for DP Eden! So comfy and good quality for the price.

Hairq · 19/10/2017 21:29

If it helps, I'm a curvy hourglass shape and usually find that jeans bag at the knees and bum after a couple of hours wear. It the Edens work really well for me.

lirpaloof · 19/10/2017 21:34

Another vote for Dorothy Perkins Eden skinny jeans. Bought various blue and black versions and found they fit and wash well.

DaisyRaine90 · 19/10/2017 22:02

Got a lovely pair from Next recently 😊

Callamia · 19/10/2017 22:04

BDG from Urban Outiftters (they do 27inch), and All Saints are my current best skinnies. I've (sadly) given up with gap.

Redken24 · 19/10/2017 22:05

Bershka

NC4now · 19/10/2017 22:06

Oasis Cherry for me.

MozzchopsThirty · 19/10/2017 22:13

River island Molly are fantastic
£40
I have 4 pairs in different colours
Keep their shape and wash well too

They’re the only jeans I’ll buy

readyforno2 · 19/10/2017 22:14

Another vote for Dorothy Perkins Eden.

hoyhoy44 · 19/10/2017 22:35

so many people have told me the Asda George ones are great but not tried them yet, i never spend much on jeans though i like material which isnt restrictive so prefer more stretch
