Are FitFlop Superballerinas really my only option?

For a simple, well fitting and long wearing pair of flats?

Is there really nothing else out there? Tired of buying cheap, ill-fitting ballerinas but FitFlops look so cumbersome.

these are my comfiest flats ever, worn for work most days

ElfrideSwancourt · 25/09/2017 12:11

Fitflop do loads of different types of ballerinas, and some have a thinner sole, if that's your issue. They are soooo comfy you won't regret getting them.

Galerina · 25/09/2017 12:12

My favourite brand, Spanish, so well fitted and really comfortable with a rubber sole. I have three pairs...

there are many variations/colours on their basic "pump" style and try looking for european suppliers as they are cheaper

www.zacaris.com/articulos/100025513.htm just ordered these for my self!

ChardonnaysPrettySister · 25/09/2017 12:14

They aren't as comfortable as they look.

I had a pair that went in the bin, utterly useless.

Whinesalot · 25/09/2017 12:16

Clarks cloudsteppers are so comfortable. Not particularly pretty but like walking on clouds as the name suggests.

FledglingFTB · 25/09/2017 18:42

Ooh, I'm such a fussy cow when it comes to shoes, and I don't like any of these suggestions. Sorry Blush

I'm trying to break a shit shoe habit, I buy pretty flimsy things and then end up with red raw feet.

I do have Clarks simpler styles Whine, but cloudsteppers are a functional step to far. I also can't stand fussy flourishes (ref: previous rant post on adult knicker bows).

I've got average sized wide feet so I though FitFlop might not be great Chardonnay

Thank you for the replies and suggestions

Have you tried Vionic shoes?

Mosaic no I hadn't, I quite like these caballos from them - or have I gone shoe blind? Hmm

I've got a pair of Fitflop boots that I've literally worn to pieces, they are soooooo comfy and really good support. I've got a pair of ballerinas, same size but they seem to pinch my big toe and I've just never got on with them sadly.

FledglingFTB · 25/09/2017 20:35

I have one work dress in four colours beachy, you're speaking my language.

BeachysFlipFlops · 25/09/2017 20:38

I have the tan, the black, the tan/navy and recently the grey 😀... covers all eventualities!

I'm a big fan of Fitflop sandals but I have never got on with their ballerinas. The uppers rub my feet. I've tried 3 pairs- patent, canvas and suede and all have been consigned to under the bed.

Maidupmum · 27/09/2017 20:26

All these people who don't like them, if they're a size 7 and in good condition, sell them to me Grin

Whinesalot · 27/09/2017 20:34

Those caballos look very narrow.

FledglingFTB · 27/09/2017 23:59

I thought that too Whine, I tend to only covet the things that really won't suit/fit me well Confused

Something I recently discovers with fitflop ballerinas (I may be the only person who did not know this).

The insole comes out really easily and gives you a bit of extra space

Good if you find them to right or if they run.

busyboysmum · 28/09/2017 07:12

I've just chucked 2 pairs of fitflop ballerinas as they pinched my toes. I even bought a shoe stretcher to try to make them better but to no avail.

azk117 · 12/12/2019 11:05

other posibility is this : www.conchisa.com
It's comfortable and I like how they look

teta · 12/12/2019 15:33

I'm another one that recommends Vionic. There are several pairs of flats by them for sale on the Tk Maxx website currently. I couldn't wear the Fitflop pumps as they were too narrow and really uncomfortable.

HermioneWeasley · 12/12/2019 18:59

I have the fitflop ballerinas and they’re really comfy - I can walk miles in them and they really help with long hours on hard floors. They’re not stylish though

JoJoSM2 · 12/12/2019 21:35

I also find the FitFlop ones comfy but they aren’t super stylish. Not that bad either. I would say they’ve been wearing through rather quickly, though. The sturdiest ones I’ve had have been Russell and Bromley followed by LK Bennett.
