Are FitFlop Superballerinas really my only option?

For a simple, well fitting and long wearing pair of flats?

Is there really nothing else out there? Tired of buying cheap, ill-fitting ballerinas but FitFlops look so cumbersome.

I'm so pleased I read this thread. I'm fussy, too. Can only wear flats, have big, arthritic feet and end up in ballet pumps as brogues are way too clumpy. A couple of the links look promising and those flat, pointy toe boots are fabulous!

I just want flat, comfy & elegant shoes. It shouldn't be hard.
