Opinions on these ankle boots?

Been looking for a pair of flat black ankle boots that I can pretty much pair with most of my outfits (not that they vary much tbh lol). I came across these and just wanted some opinions on these booties from New Look?

I like them except for the zip (I'd be tempted to take off the zipper bit).

Very comfy, warm and look good with skinnies or skirts and tights.

I like them apart from the gold bit. I have a similar pair that I've worn on and off for years.

If you wear jeans, Dr Martens or flannel shirts then you are wearing 'worker clothes'.

Pink my hesitation would be over how well they'd last. I bought some New Look boots, flat ones, winter before last. 3 weeks and I had to pay more than I'd bought them for to re-heel them and they went into holes before the end of the winter. They were mega comfortable and I liked how they looked but they really were rubbish quality. Bought some from asda last winter and they were miles better.
