Is this star print jumper nice?

It's M&S so my usual sartorial judgement may be out of whack:

I have a voucher which I am looking to use.

I quite like it as I like star print anything, do you tend to wear bright colours? I don't so may be a bit bright for me but I would certainly like it if I saw someone wearing it. Would look great with jeans or a denim skirt....

CountFosco · 10/09/2017 16:41

Well it's pure cashmere so can't be that bad but I'm personally not so keen on the pink. Saw a lovely M&S lilac colour block one on Bum40 but it has inevitably sold out. They need to make more of their amazing things and less of the pink dresses.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 10/09/2017 16:45

I like it, but the neck looks rather high.

Lottapianos · 10/09/2017 16:48

I like it and was tempted by it the other day. M&S gets crucified on here, and there are certainly plenty of horrors to be found, but also some gems as well as plenty of decent stuff. It could be so much better but it's not as bad as it's made out to be either

DeltaG · 10/09/2017 16:48

I really like it - love the pink. Would definitely wear it.

Bluntness100 · 10/09/2017 16:49

I like the design but not the colour scheme, it's a bit bright for me personally and I wouldn't wear it due to the pink.

DeltaG · 10/09/2017 16:51

@Lotta - I agree. What I cannot for the life of me understand, is why so many people like Boden. I've rarely found a single thing there that is not hideously patterned or frumpy. Whereas with M&S, they have a fair amount of plain and boring stuff but as you say, some real gems too.

VeryPunny · 10/09/2017 16:51

The two tone pink is the only thing stopping me at the moment - I love stars but it's been a while since I wore something that bright! Was thinking with jeans or my leather leggings. Hmmmm.... think I'll order it and see how it goes.

This is the kind of thing I love, but look like a bag of crap in. I think you'd have to be very chic and well groomed to pull it off... otherwise you might look like a kids TV presenter.

farfarawayfromhome · 10/09/2017 16:54

I LOVE it!

Auntiedahlia · 10/09/2017 16:55

Not for that money.

DeltaG · 10/09/2017 16:59

But the bright parts are only the stars which are accents, the main body of colour is beige, which is pretty muted and neutral. If you usually shy away from bright colours then I think it's ideal as it's only a splash of bright and not enough to make you feel uncomfortable.

LaurieFairyCake · 10/09/2017 17:01

Beautiful cashmere. I love it because of the star print - I adore star print stuff, even my house has multiple stars in it (I also make porcelain ones)

ScarlettOH · 10/09/2017 17:06

£109 😂😂😂 for m&s 😂😂😂

That's a no from me

SheldonsSpot · 10/09/2017 17:10

I have a 20% discount voucher and I'm actually quite tempted by this!

mrscampbellblackreturns · 10/09/2017 17:10

I bought it yesterday! It comes up very big but is lovely. The neckline is flattering as well even with boobs.

It is very much a copy of the chinti and parker ones although on me a better shape.

swimster01 · 10/09/2017 17:11

I saw it in store yesterday - really liked it but not at that price for M&S

VeryPunny · 10/09/2017 17:17

I thought it was about the going price for cashmere these days, no?

OP posts:
RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 10/09/2017 17:21

They'll probably have 20% off again at some point soon.

Fantasticmissfoxy · 10/09/2017 17:27

Baukjen do ones similar but in (I think) nicer colours

mrscampbellblackreturns · 10/09/2017 17:38

I love the colours but am clearly in the minority

retainertrainer · 10/09/2017 17:40

If I was spending that much money I'd want to buy something a bit more classic. It's a nice jumper but not for that amount of money.

Floisme · 10/09/2017 17:45

It wouldn't suit me because it's mostly beige and probably too high in the neck but I'm sure it would look good on other people. I think it's a perfectly reasonable price for cashmere.

CountFosco · 10/09/2017 17:49

Looking through my Pure Collection catalogue it looks positively cheap. Just bought a Boden relaxed cashmere v neck reduced from £140 to £84 which I thought was an absolute bargain. So yes, good value cashmere I'd say but not worryingly so.
