Hiya, thinking about the colour I eventually want my hair to be. This picture is not of me, just a woman (I think she may be famous but I don't know who she is lol), but I just wanted your opinion on whether this hair colour is blonde or brown. Thank you! xx

itsbetterthanabox · 03/09/2017 23:06

Dark ash blonde- mousey

thenightsky · 03/09/2017 23:12

1st pic is mousey.

Gigi is blonde.

Both colours look perfectly nice though.

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 03/09/2017 23:14

Bronde

Gigi is blonde

I'd agree with level 7 ash blonde. The ends have probably been free hand highlighted with pre lightener or high lift and toned for a subtle, sunkissed look. It isn't one colour.

Titsywoo · 04/09/2017 11:39

It's dark blonde

UsernameInvalid66 · 04/09/2017 16:09

It looks to me as if the base colour is what I would call light brown, but some bits are either sunbleached or artificially lightened.

oldlaundbooth · 04/09/2017 16:11

It's dark blonde.

It'll go really light in summer.

Ellapaella · 04/09/2017 19:34

It's brown with highlights. Bit of both.

Ellapaella · 04/09/2017 19:35

It's almost my exact hair colour, I have brown hair and have three lighter colours woven in, one of which is a dark ash blonde called 'mocha'.

I'd call that "fair" hair.

poppym12 · 07/09/2017 13:23

This is ash blonde with mocha. Apparently. It's a bit lighter than my normal colour but I've been away a lot this year and the sun has bleached the hell out of it Blush. L'Oréal professional 7 or 8 (can't remember), 1 for ash, with a hint of mocha. I'm thinking it looks green Hmm

Dawg blonde

27Harper · 07/09/2017 13:32

Your hair looks lovely! It does look a bit green I won't lie, but that ain't a bad thing. That can happen with an ashy hair colour. Also because of the mocha (which im guessing is brown?) Can do that to blinde hair unless you put a red undertone on first. My natural colour can have a bit of a greyish tint to it, and mines is brunette. Have you seen a hair stylist that could maybe do some colour correcting if you don't like it? xx

harper, this was done by my sodding expensive hairdresser! It usually calms down when I've washed it though. Fortunately it doesn't look too green in some lights. It had looked really light and a bit brassy before I went due to the sun damage. I keep meaning to get something to spray on to protect it when I'm away. I'll have a look for that now.

VioletCharlotte · 07/09/2017 13:49

I'd say it was dark blonde.

27Harper · 07/09/2017 13:50

It doesn't look too bad sweetie, the colour itself is really nice! It's just the green tone. I would go see another hair stylist who maybe specialises in colour correcting. They should be able to fix it.

My shampoo and conditioner has heat protection built into it, so I've been a bit negligent on the heat protection tbh. I use 'Bed Head Urban Antidotes Level 3', it's easily my favourite shampoo and conditioner! Totally rescued my hair xx

Blonde

CountFosco · 08/09/2017 17:06

The problem is that with so many artificial very light blondes, the definition of what blond is or not has changed.

When I went to Scandinavia I was struck by how my natural dark strawberry blonde hair seemed darker than 95% of the women but only 50% of the men Smile.
