In your opinion, is this blonde or brown hair?

Hiya, thinking about the colour I eventually want my hair to be. This picture is not of me, just a woman (I think she may be famous but I don't know who she is lol), but I just wanted your opinion on whether this hair colour is blonde or brown. Thank you! xx

Mine is this sort of colour (my grey roots are covered with a mix of ash blonde and mocha). I see it as light brown-ish.

Dark ash blonde

My plan was to get my hair all this colour, and then gradually lighten it with lighter blonde highlights/Balayage xx

back in my day and age it was called dirty blond, almost mousy blond.

Dirty blonde, this is my hair colour and cut in fact, a more technical term would be Medium Ash blonde I guess.

When the light shines on it it looks much lighter and it goes much blonder in the sun.

I used to be that colour before I darkened with age. Brunettes called me blonde, but blondes were aghast at the thought I was one of them! (Even though most of those saying you're NOT blonde were most definitely not natural blondes themselves!)

The woman in the pics is a model called Anna Selezneva. If you google her you'll find lots of other pics and in many of them she is more noticeably blonde. I'd call the colour cool dark ash blonde. It's gorgeous!

Yeah similar to my natural colour and hairdressers refer to it as dark blonde. I usually describe it as mousy 😀

In the same way that a colour can be "in between blue and green", this is "in between blonde and brown".

If you were feeling unkind you'd call it "mousy".

If you were feeling kind you'd call it "dark blonde".

I got this as well. DH' s family are all very dark and it was quite bizarre to be consistently called blond by them. At home I was always called mousy but in hindsight the community I grew up in was the kind of place you'd have to have white blond hair before you'd be called blond, if someone was being nice you'd be 'fair'. My hair is 'brown' according to my children but there's a lot of red in it these days but in my mid 40s I like having darker hair, naturally brown hair is more youthful than dyed blond hair these days.

Oh she must have gorgeous hair! My little boy Has unmistakably blonde hair, although so did I until I was 4 or 5 and then it darkened. Currently 12 weeks pregnant with twins and I have the feeling they will be the same with curly blonde hair like mine used to be xx

What colour would gigi hadid have and be classed as? I would defo say that it's blonde but it looks a tad lighter than the pic I uploaded of that other model xx
