Following on from the other thread about crap beauty products, what are your huge wins?

I need enabling inspiration.

I'll start - Waitrose shower gels. Cheap as chips and smell lovely.

Coconut oil as a conditioning treatment for hair. Best thing I've ever used bar none.

JLo Glow perfume. Again cheap and lovely.

Mac Velvet Teddy lipstick. A nice nude that doesn't turn terracotta.

Clinique Quickliner Intense eyeliner. I buy two at a time in case I run out.

Bobbi Brown Intensive Skin Serum concealer. Knocks Touché Eclat into a cocked hat.

What are your wins?

The new Pantene foam conditioners.....it is unbelievable, it really does soften and moisturise without making your hair into an oil slick. I'm addicted.
Urban Decay Naked palette. First eyeshadows I've nearly used all of.

Boots No 7 protect and perfect neck/face serum. I had a nasty infected lymph gland under my chin last year, and it really stretched my skin, leaving it with a stretch mark effect. This stuff is amazing, smooths it completely out. Love it.

I'd say Oloplex hair treatment as my hair looks great after discovering this a year ago at the hairdressers.

Also Rosie for autograph sheer complexion enhancer is a top favourite at the moment.

Lee Stafford coco loco genius lotion is good on my wavy hair too.

Laiste · 27/08/2017 20:55

I have to say, there are quite a few items on here that are being mentioned repeatedly on the 'crapest' thread too Grin

But that's life. One mans meat ect.

Laiste · 27/08/2017 20:58

Oooh irate you've reminded me about:

www.boots.com/lee-stafford-hair-growth-treatment-pink-200ml-10081217

It's a lovely conditioner which smells SO good i just want to roll in it Grin

I have acne prone combination skin. Used to have quite a lot of break outs but not recently. So, For acne prone combination skin care routine the best is :

Estee Lauder oil free daywear
Smash box oil free primer
Estée Lauder Lauder Double wear or double wear aqua

Dior hydra life make up remover oil ( not supppsed to use oily products but love this one)

Clinique lotion ( can't remember the name the one with white residue for problem skin)

Then apply Estée Lauder enlighten serum and cream to lighten post acne marks

During break outs I do t use much cosmetics and just apply la rochay posay effeclaire tinted cream

Dermalogica ultracalming cleanser, I've used this for years!
Palmers cocoa butter body lotion, again used for years and love it.
Dove Shea and vanilla shower gel.
CCS foot cream, I LOVE this.
Burts bees pomegranate lip balm.
Boots aqueous cream in tub (It has to be boots one though!)

thingsthatgobumpinthenightouch · 27/08/2017 21:09

A couple of mine have already been mentioned
Superdrug hot cloth cleanser
Max factor masterpiece mascara
Maybelline dream fresh Bb cream
Aldi eyebrow pencil
Revolution blush and eyeshadow palettes
Pixi glow tonic

B1rdinthebush · 27/08/2017 21:27

Nars Radiant Creamy concealer is hands down the best I've tried. Great coverage, stays put but looks very natural.

Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue tinted gel cream is such a good base when you don't want something as heavy as foundation but still need some coverage.

Hourglass Ambient Lighting blush is bloody expensive (think I paid £33 for it) but is just glorious. It honestly makes you glow.

BearFoxBear · 27/08/2017 21:48

Loads of my favourites mentioned on here, but a few not:

Nip + Fab extreme glycolic pads
Estee Lauder advanced night repair
Superfacialist Neroli Super Lift Day Cream
Coconut oil for hair and body
Euthymol toothpaste
Lush R&B hair moisturiser (tame my frizzy curls)
Nivea post shave balm as a primer
Max Factor False Lash Effect Mascara
Burts Bees lip balms

I've also just given up on the EL Double Wear for Bobbi Brown's new serum foundation and I feel like it's the one, but will reserve judgement until I finish the 1st bottle!

I always thought I was a bit fickle until I made this list Grin

MumBod · 27/08/2017 22:00

Holly I just shampoo and condition as normal.

foodiefil · 27/08/2017 22:28

Kiehls midnight recovery cleanser - I've used it to remove make up (full eye make up, eye shadow, liner, mascara and face make up) and it's worked and there's an inch gone.

The ordinary lactic acid one.

Nivea firming lotion.

Vaseline spray lotion.

Neuroticwoman · 27/08/2017 22:35

Palmers cocoa butter
Boots factor 50 BB face cream.

MorrisZapp · 27/08/2017 22:43

George at Asda cream blusher in Marshmallow.

MorrisZapp · 27/08/2017 22:44

I've often wondered though, if serums are as good as they say on the package, why do you need moisturiser too?

MorrisZapp · 27/08/2017 22:45

I mean I do have serums I like, but isn't it just a different name for face cream?

Unicorn81 · 27/08/2017 22:53

Bath and body works shower gels and candles
Temple spa repose cream to calm my skin and send me off to a nice sleep
Temple spa skincare
Redken shampoos and conditioners
Molton brown cloudberry shampoo and conditioner
Loccitane shampoo and conditioner
Ted baker mint shower gel
Tarte amazonian foundation
No7 hot cloth cleanser

Luxury treat Molton Brown 3 wick candle in Imps whisper

bakedbeansandtuna · 27/08/2017 22:55

I like the Pantene foam conditioners too.

Foam burst shower gel

Nars orgasm Bobbi brown blushed powders.

NYX eye shadows

I think I like soap n glory breakfast scrub...

Runningyogabooze · 27/08/2017 22:58

I love the Palmers silicon free shampoo and conditioner - they smell like mint choc chip Cornettos from the 1980s and my Brazilian-treated hair looks nice.

Also love the Max Factor Masterpiece mascara - I bulk buy it on Amazon now.

And the glycerin soaps from Waitrose smell and look lovely. But they don't last very long.

And my Chantecaille lipstick is ace too.

hollyisalovelyname · 29/08/2017 07:34

Chanel Le Volume mascara.

LoniceraJaponica · 29/08/2017 07:39

I conditioned my hair with coconut oil yesterday. About 45 minutes on my hair then washed (3x to get rid of the grease) then conditioned it. It looks exactly the same as before.

Fosterdog123 · 29/08/2017 07:59

Perfume parlour perfume dupes, especially the Tom Ford ones.
