Yes

Avesy · 21/08/2017 14:51

A beautiful classic style. Good choice.

CantWinThemAll · 21/08/2017 14:51

Sounds mad but do I need my shoulders covered? My mums always putting me down so she didn't have a nice word to say about the dress and said "I hope you'll be covering your shoulders". Which I'm not planning on.

I've been unwell so shopping has been a struggle and it's the only thing I've found that I feel remotely decent in and there's only 6 days until the wedding.

She's making me doubt myself.

Yes. Absolutely beautiful dress, and I wouldn't bother covering my shoulders. Sounds like your mum is just being awkward and trying to make you feel bad tbh.

EverythingEverywhere1234 · 21/08/2017 14:53

Where is it from btw? I love it that much Grin

OrlandaFuriosa · 21/08/2017 14:54

No, of course not.

I'd take a wrap but only because I often feel shivery.

It's great. What if any accessories are you wearing - to be honest you don't need to as the dress is detailed without - and what shoes?

Hope you feel better soon and have a great time.

CantWinThemAll · 21/08/2017 14:56

Nude shoes, nude bag. Hair up, dangle earrings. No necklace.

What do you think?

I was considering a fascinator but sometimes less is more so I'm thinking possibly not and going for a more intricate hair up (it's being done at the hairdressers).

It's from coast Grin

It's beautiful. Maybe your mother was thinking about having your shoulders covered in the church?

Don't doubt yourself, it's gorgeous.

TracyBeakerSoYeah · 21/08/2017 15:02

It's a lovely dress.

CantWinThemAll · 21/08/2017 15:04

Would I need to cover my shoulders in church do you think?

CantWinThemAll · 21/08/2017 15:05

Thanks everyone, you've made me feel a whole lot better.

Only if its a catholic church or certain other denominations.

CantWinThemAll · 21/08/2017 15:07

It is a Catholic Church.

OP posts:
CantWinThemAll · 21/08/2017 15:07

I know this sounds silly but I've never worn a wrap and I've got a one year old and feel it'll be a faff.

OP posts:
CantWinThemAll · 21/08/2017 15:08

The dress sits a little higher up on me than the picture suggests, so the it's sort of a V shape rather than straight across, although still off the shoulder, just not as severely.

Twickerhun · 21/08/2017 15:09

Don't worry about your shoulders. You will look lovely.

PigletWasPoohsFriend · 21/08/2017 15:10

It's lovely.

I would however say that yes you will need to cover your shoulders in church.

CantWinThemAll · 21/08/2017 15:10

I've seen people on Catholic Church in short shorts and vest tops. It's certainly no more revealing than that.

CantWinThemAll · 21/08/2017 15:12

I've just realised I also got married in a catholic church wearing a strapless wedding dress Grin

It's a beautiful dress and the shoes will go perfectly. Great wedding outfit. You don't need to cover your shoulders. Have a lovely time!

junebirthdaygirl · 21/08/2017 15:15

I was in a Catholic church recently at wedding and all had bare shoulders.
Leave it as it is. Simple and lovely.
