Luxurious feel body moisturizer wanted - effective too.

After the million bucks thread I realized I feel great when my whole body is moisturized. I have dry skin on my body and particularly my legs are flaky and show white cracks of dehydration if I don't use something on them daily. However if my legs are not on show, I get lazy with daily hydration.
Could you please recommend a body cream/lotion that will feel so pampering and luxurious that will motivate me to use it often? It def needs to have a scent and keep dry skin hydrated for as many of the 24hrs as possible, as I can only apply once daily.
Also I prefer bottles with pumps better. Could also do a jar. But no tubes; they are a nightmare to use.
In terms of ingredients: no mineral oil, no parabens for sure.
I would equally love both pricey and cheaper suggestions.

I use Aveeno. It fulfils your 'effective' criteria but not your 'luxurious' one.

Thanks @squoosh but this will not keep me motivated. I am looking for something that will transfer me to a spa for 5 minutes, before reality of the day kicks in.

This is gorgeous m.origins.co.uk/product/15366/38372/bath-body/moisturize/body-creams/ginger-souffle/whipped-body-cream

This is a very good less £££ substitute which is sometimes on offer in Tesco www.soaperduper.com/product/invigorating-zingy-ginger-body-butter/

(If ginger is not your thing, plenty of other fragrances)

Nettletheelf · 10/08/2017 14:43

I just checked the ingredients on my Sanctuary body soufflé. No mineral oil or parabens. That stuff rules. Smells fab, sinks in beautifully and has agreeable bubbly texture. Is about £10 I think.

I swear swear swear by this bad boy! It's wicked. Smells gorgeous and is super moisturising and luxurious. If u look on Amazon they often sell a trial bottle which is small and about a tenner.

FreeButtonBee · 10/08/2017 14:52

The origins ones are excellent. There is one relatively unscented version which is my perfect body moisturiser for after a bath.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 10/08/2017 15:04

Korres ones are lovely, but in tubes.

Aveeno stuff is the absolute best though. Maybe you could decant it into a better looking pot, if such things really concern you.

PinkLipsDontLie · 10/08/2017 15:36

Origins seem promising! Need to check out the scents. I am a sucker for the words whipped and soufflé in the name.
Korres have strange texture, I find them unpleasant to rub in and slow to absorb.
Sanctuary is the same as sanctuary spa?
Elemis must be great but being an oil that solidifies, I am afraid will serve as little more than bedroom decoration for lazy me.
Aveeno not only doesn't have fancy packaging, it also has no scent?

Rituals honey touch body cream

WaspsAreBastards · 10/08/2017 15:57

Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess whipped body creme.

Nettletheelf · 10/08/2017 16:08

Yes, Sanctuary is the same as Sanctuary Spa. They sell it in Boots.

Djangor · 10/08/2017 16:19

My favourite is Ren Moroccan Rose body cream - Ren do 20% off sometimes or you can probably get in M&S - its £37 full price but quite a bit pot

hugoagogo · 10/08/2017 16:23

I use almond oil from sainsbury, you could add a scent to it if you wanted. It works better than anything else I have ever used.

nothingwittyhere · 10/08/2017 20:50

I think Champneys Body Butters at Boots fulfill all your criteria. Thick but easily absorbed and smell lovely.

VivienneWestwoodsKnickers · 10/08/2017 20:59

Clarins Moisture Rich body lotion is incredible.

Alternatively, the Clarins Tonic body lotion. Love the smell!!

OlennasWimple · 10/08/2017 21:06

I was about to say the Clarins Moisture Rich one too (it's currently keeping my crepey decolletage at bay overnight, when I remember to use it....)

hingedspeculum · 10/08/2017 21:10

These two places have products with more complex and interesting scents:

uk.caudalie.com/divine-oil.html

Here you go - comes with a pump, looks nice in your bathroom, no mineral oil / parabens, multi-purpose (I use it on my face & body), smells lush, very hydrating. I love it!

ChishandFips33 · 10/08/2017 21:13

Soap and Glory here - skin stays soft for the rest of the day

Lucked · 10/08/2017 21:16

The Laura mercier stuff is gorgeous but so pricey

AgentCooper · 10/08/2017 21:18

My all time favourite is Diptyque's Lait Frais. It's the most gorgeous smell in the world to me - creamy orange blossom. Leaves me skin lovely and soft all day. It's 34 bloody quid but worth it.

ladybirdsarelovely · 11/08/2017 10:33

Rituals Yin.
It smells divine.

Joneseygirl77 · 11/08/2017 10:46

Another clarins moisture rich body lotion fan here. It's fantastic.
Or if you want a cheaper option then Garnier ones are good too.

LazySusan11 · 11/08/2017 11:18

Sanctuary in shower moisturiser, finish shower, slap on no rinsing, dry yourself, done. Keeps my dry skin nice and soft and I don't have to spend ages rubbing in lotions and potions.
