Is anyone constantly uncomfortable?

Hairq · 04/08/2017 15:21

This is worse than ever today because I have PMT and my already sizeable breasts are like rocks, but if I'm honest it's a constant problem.

I am constantly uncomfortable in my clothes. I want to rip all my bras off even though they are the correct size and fit because they bother me so much. I wear skinny jeans because more relaxed styles make me look 2 sizes bigger, but they are so uncomfortable - and they're not too small - the next size up just fall down which adds a whole new dimension to being uncomfortable. My knickers constantly give me a wedgie, tops are always too tight over my boobs because they're massive. If I get something to fit over them it makes the rest of me look huge because it's too big and billowy everywhere else. I constantly feel in turn strangled and drowned by my clothes and the feeling of the tightness (even though they fit - it's how they're meant to fit, they're just uncomfortable styles - apart from the breasts issue with tips). I feel like giving in and living in tracksuit bottoms, pull on sports bras (which I can't even wear for the gym because they don't support my MASSIVE MONSTER TITS) and baggy tshirts. Can anyone help or at least identify??

(Size 12-14 hourglass by the way if that makes a difference)

I often feel uncomfortable in my clothes because I'm feeling a bit bloated - too much wheat or something (I'm not IBS or coeliac).
I'm a 12-14, but not much waist and huge boobs since DC (used to be 34B)
Have you tried Bravissimo and their curvy clothing range?
Also, are you peri-menopausal?
I hear you OP.

I'm a little woman ( size 8) and I am always fucking uncomfortable ... bras are always too big unless I find a magic 28 back, I have a bum so the wedgies are real ( front and back Blush) and to top it off I have eczema everywhere so everything itches or sticks to me or scratches .... I hate clothes ... I live in pj shorts at home and wish we could all be naked. Alternatively I may invest in some massive moo-moo dresses and strut my comfortable self on down the street

ThinkOfTheHorses · 04/08/2017 20:52

I also tend to wear crop tops and non wired bras but understand this is impossible for the large of nork. Even then they touch my eczema and I hate them.

thenightsky · 04/08/2017 21:00

I'm starting to think dresses are the way forward. No rigid waists like you get on jeans. No hoiking bits up or down.

taybert · 04/08/2017 21:01

Elastic in the back of your jeans. I'm putting this on every thread I can. I can't stress enough the difference it makes to gapey back fally down jeans.

ThinkOfTheHorses · 04/08/2017 21:22

Also for knickers - Gap Breathe ... they're the bomb.com ... sooooo soft

Hairq · 04/08/2017 21:25

Dresses are generally much better for me but then they come with added tights trauma:

a) tights are always either too small so fall down constantly OR
b) too big so you're constantly having to yank up excess leg fabric that's wrinkling down OR
c) they appear to fit fine but you have sturdy thighs that rub together when you walk which can cause the worst ever chub run in combination with the top leg part of tights.

*chub rub

Don't even talk to me about saggy gussets in tights OP ... shudders

allegretto · 04/08/2017 21:34

Skinny jeans are so uncomfy! I never wear them. I have also given up underwired bras for the same reason - M & S have lots of nice non-wire bras at the moment.

KoalaDownUnder · 04/08/2017 21:34

I absolutely hate jeans. I've decided.

Why oh why is there this cultural narrative that jeans are a comfy, throw-on thing? They're not, they're fucking horrible. Pretty much all of them.

thepatchworkcat · 04/08/2017 21:48

I'm so glad it's not just me with jeans! I couldn't work out what was wrong with me!

ilovecherries · 04/08/2017 21:57

The last time I wore jeans it rained. It took 5 weeks for me to get rid of the eczema on my legs from all the rubbing. Jeans are the devils work. I can't not wear a bra, but I have hideous ugly wire free bras that I put on under my 'loungewear' aka PJs.

banivani · 04/08/2017 22:31

I wear cotton "bike shorts" leggings as knickers under skirts and dresses in the summer to avoid chub rub - my lifestyle tip there.

Just wanted to say that there's no law saying you HAVE to wear bras. I could happily walk around without them without discomfort but I just like the look of wearing a bra since it hoiks them up off my stomach 😂

thenightsky · 04/08/2017 22:37

I've taken to wearing this bra I have it in all colours and its the least physically offensive one I've found so far. 34E.

cassiewoo · 04/08/2017 22:52

I am a totally different shape but I hate clothes! They come off as soon as get in the house. I hate things round my waist and jeans are awful.
I buy big knickers, two sizes bigger. River Island longer length leggings with a thick waistband are great. I hate wearing anything fitted. Luckily for work, I can get away with casual.

misskelly · 04/08/2017 23:02

Me too! I was just thinking last night that I have had it with being stabbed under the arms by underwire. I'm a 32gg so the sides of bras come up really high on me, I'm seriously considering a reduction but Ive never had an anaesthetic and it scares me witless thinking about it.

I also agree you should get sloggi knickers, not very attractive but comfy.

MountainDweller · 04/08/2017 23:50

I am like this too! Everything is too tight, too scratchy or digs in. I've decided it's either age or girth Grin

So I live in jersey 95% of the time. Dresses, Ts, leggings, yoga pants. And big knickers (I like sloggi midis). With decent quality stuff it's possible to look not exactly smart but non-grungy. If I'm going out I'll wear an under wired bra and might push the boat out as far as linen trousers and a woven cotton top. They are off within minutes of getting home though!

Comfort is very important to me. Luckily my life is very casual these days.

Crikey littlereid, that bra sounds a revelation!

lizzieoak · 05/08/2017 00:58

I was a 32G and had a reduction. I wish I'd done it years earlier. I'm a size UK10 so the boobs were well out of whack with my small frame. A huge difference for the better. Hello normal clothes, hello toes.

SweetieDarling11 · 05/08/2017 01:00

I wear leggings or tights and then skirts, dresses etc with t shirts and jumpers. Nothing that has a tight waistband, no trousers, no skinny jeans, no restrictive clothing and also I favour a comfortably large brief Smile.

I read somewhere that people like us are sensory, out of interest do you hate it when nouse/music/Tv is too loud or too quiet, or if a light is too bright or too dim, when everyone else seems ok with it, that sort of thing?

WooWooSister · 05/08/2017 01:14

Dresses with either bare legs or leggings underneath tights are too uncomfortable I live in leggings and tunics in the winter, and dresses in the summer. And to overcome the problem of being different sizes on the top and bottom, I bought some good belts.

KoalaDownUnder · 05/08/2017 03:35

STOP PRESS

Have just found my Holy Grail of jeans - literally received my ASOS delivery this morning after complaining last night about how I hated all jeans.

They are these: New Look Supersoft skinnies. Sooooo comfy! I have just tried them on and done a happy dance. Off to buy more!! Grin

Is anyone constantly uncomfortable?
Userwithoutaname · 05/08/2017 04:47

LittleReid where did you buy the bra? I'm so desperate for a well fitted comfortable bra!

I have similar issues .. jeans are uncomfortable, as are bras and pants. I wear mainly tunics and leggings or jeggings with long baggy shirts.

I'm going to buy some BIG pants!
