....it's so thick, what do you use it for? Doesn't sink into face.

OP posts:
PNGirl · 03/08/2017 09:14

I have a dry face, so it does sometimes work in winter for me.
Mainly though, I use it for elbows, knees, and my horrible dry nailbeds.

RockyBird · 03/08/2017 09:15

I use it as night cream

Dancinginthemidnight · 03/08/2017 09:17

I use it on my face, my skin is really dry.

PrancerForHoney · 03/08/2017 09:22

Any dry skin areas and night cream.
My Grandmother used this and my Mum uses this. It's like a family tradition.

SecretLimonadeDrinker · 03/08/2017 09:23

Our family tradition too. I use it as an eye cream.

fivepies · 03/08/2017 09:24

I add citronella and use as a mozzie repellant overnight i.e. all over body.

Glowerglass · 03/08/2017 09:24

I use it on my face in winter. My skin gets really dry and just soaks it up.

Walkingtowork · 03/08/2017 09:28

Apparently you have to warm it up in your hands, then it sinks in. I haven't tried it, I use their less thick ones (and love them).

burnishedsilver · 03/08/2017 09:28

I find it too thick and greasy to serve any purpose.

YellowLawn · 03/08/2017 09:32

night cream.
and eczema ream for my dry hands.
it will sink in, but will take a few minutes.

Loyly · 03/08/2017 09:43

Nivea Soft (in a white tube or tub) is the perfect texture on my face and it's as good as the blue tub. It's a thinner-but-still-thick consistency that's better suited to the face.

Sallycinnamum · 03/08/2017 09:46

Nivea is the only face cream that works on my dry skin. I've tried lots of different moisturisers and this is the only one that stops my face feeling right. It is very thick though!

ElspethFlashman · 03/08/2017 09:47

Nivea Soft is a million times nicer, I don't know why people still buy the original!

Namechangearoo · 03/08/2017 09:49

To blob on spots before I go to bed.

YellowLawn · 03/08/2017 09:49

nivea soft stinks. I can't stand the smell.

SealSong · 03/08/2017 09:50

Seconding Nivea soft (white tub)
Thick but sinks in easily. Great for body moisturising.

5BlueHydrangea · 03/08/2017 09:51

I love it! Hands, knees, elbows .. I'm a nurse so my hands get very dry from the alcohol rub and it really helps. Don't really use it on my face as have v sensitive skin that reacts to almost anything but its great everywhere else.

leccybill · 03/08/2017 09:51

I want to love Nivea, it's a family tradition too, but my skin hates it. Spots galore.

bookworm14 · 03/08/2017 09:53

I use it as a night cream - makes my skin lovely and soft in the morning. You only need a small amount so one tub lasts ages.

jodressy · 03/08/2017 09:53

Night cream, but I use the white tub not the blue one

Corneliusmurphy · 03/08/2017 09:54

I put it on before and after flights. Must be the air conditioning on the plane as my skin completely dries out. Then throughout the holiday as needed - on my legs usually.

KungFuEric · 03/08/2017 09:55

It gave me a horrendous allergic reaction to my face one time, looked like red/purple bruising all over.

Nothing else has done that to my face before or since.

HarryBiscuit · 03/08/2017 09:55

I use it on my lips or to take my eye makeup off. It's one of the few things that doesn't sting my eyes.

guiltybystander · 03/08/2017 09:56

I think you are supposed the leave your skin wet and apply thick Nivea on top so it will be easier to sink in but to me it looks like a nappy rash cream intended for baby butts. Forms a barrier.

Okite · 03/08/2017 09:57

It's the only moisturiser I can use on my very sensitive face. Only use a tiny bit, never had a problem with it sinking in.
