Help me with good quality tops. PLEASE.

I have a couple of Seasalt striped ones, but am looking for something plain. Sleeves can be short, elbow or 3/4. Definitely not sleeveless. Grey, white, black, navy, bottle green, burgundy, dark purple.

It has to cover the lower tum, ideally to the bottom of the fly.

Shirts don't suit me, they hang off my boobs and make me look fatter than I am (size 16). Everything in Pepperberry is too short.

I want something that will last, I have five H&M t-shirts that after a month are ready for the bin.

I was literally going to post this thread. Every black t shirt I've tried in recently has gone see through.

I've recently updated my wardrobe and got some nice tops from Reiss, Whistles and Phase Eight - all heavily discounted in the sale. They were still expensive compared to what I usually pay (around £30 per top in the sale) but I'm hoping they will be better quality and last longer. I am 40 years old and a size 14 so need the same sort of coverage as you I think.

Somebody on here recently recommended the Jigsaw t-shirts. I haven't tried them yet, but am definitely going to have a look.

Baukjen does fab basic tee's. Nice a long too.

I really like long tall sally basic tops. They're not mega long on me but I'm 5ft 10, I need the room for boobs!

Second Baukjen - have a look at H&M as they do decent tops in some stores.

Thanks! Those Boden ones don't look very long, I'm not convinced there will be tum coverage. Will get a couple of the Long Tall Sally ones, if for no other reason than according to their size guide I'm a Medium. Marvellous.

5'4", so I'm thinking with LTS I'll get extra tum coverage.

5'2 here and the Ravellos cover all of my tummy.

Mint Velvet have still got a few tops in their sale. I need to 'hide' my lower tum and found a couple of good tops that are long but not tunic length.

Ive tried Uniqlo and they're too small. Length is fine, width is not.

Will look at Zara, but I had a top from them two years ago that shrank and I've borne a grudge ever since.
