Which one, out of the two, for a wedding. It's a (not very close) friends wedding. Thanks Smile

Do you have a third option? If it must be one of those two the first, they're both nice but not very weddingy

TerfwithaNerf · 18/07/2017 23:01

Honestly? Neither.

First one is far FAR too skimpy and short for a wedding and the second is too evening-y.

Any other options?

Weddingoutfit · 18/07/2017 23:01

No just these two! Thanks I think the first one myself.

Do you have a blouse you could wear under the first one? What sort of wedding is it? How formal and that.

Vinorosso74 · 18/07/2017 23:05

The first is too skimpy for a wedding. If you're just going to the evening do the second is ok.
I got a bargain dress from Oasis for a wedding today. Was £65, tag said £25, got to till and was £18!

squishysquirmy · 18/07/2017 23:05

The second is more formal, although more of an evening dress than a day time dress, iyswim. I prefer the first but would probably go for the second.
I agree with Enchanted that neither are very weddingy, but they are both very nice and I think either would do - they are inoffensive and I have seen people wear far worse things at weddings.

Weddingoutfit · 18/07/2017 23:06

I was thinking with a pretty cardy sort of thing over the top it wouldn't be as showy for the day. It's a traditional wedding, but I'm not very close to the people so don't have a 'part' in the wedding

squishysquirmy · 18/07/2017 23:08

If its a traditional wedding, then go for the second dress. The first is really lovely, but not really right for a traditional wedding.

IfYouGoDownToTheWoodsToday · 18/07/2017 23:08

You look lovely in. It's but they aren't really wedding appropriate.

The first is way too short and too ordinary. The second looks too dark and formal.

You really need another option.

EllaHen · 18/07/2017 23:08

First one with a cardigan.

IfYouGoDownToTheWoodsToday · 18/07/2017 23:08

Sorry that should be "you lol lovely in both, but .....

MrsLettuce · 18/07/2017 23:11

Ok. Then it has to be the second one. Silver bag and shoes.

dontpokethebear · 18/07/2017 23:11

At the risk of sounding like an old fuddy duddy, the first one is too short and too revealing.
The second is just a bit meh.

Do you have a friend or relative you could borrow something off?

Ojoj1974 · 18/07/2017 23:12

Neither I'm afraid. The first one is inappropriate, too short and too casual, too low necked
The second is an evening dress for a black tie event not a wedding.

You have a gorgeous figure. I would suggest borrowing something from a friend, sales or a good charity shop x

MrsChopper · 18/07/2017 23:14

Agree with the others. You look lovely in both. And it might just be the photos but the first one does look too skimpy for a wedding. Can't see a cardigan make a big difference. The other would be lovely for evening do.

IfYouGoDownToTheWoodsToday · 18/07/2017 23:14

You have such a lovely figure, you would look lovely in a bin bag, but that wouldn't be great fir a wedding Wink

Don't you have any other option, or as dontpoke says, borrow a dress off someone?

Joinourclub · 18/07/2017 23:14

It doesn't have to be a dress, do you have a suitable skirt and top?

TeenagersandFurbabies · 18/07/2017 23:15

Add a fitted jacket the first one and you'll be fine. The second one would see you mistaken as a bridesmaid.

squishysquirmy · 18/07/2017 23:16

Do you have any pretty sandals? Because that might be a way to make the second dress look less eveningy (as long as this doesn't make it drag along the ground).

Heratnumber7 · 18/07/2017 23:17

The first looks like a dress for a day on the beach. The second is an evening dress. Both are v nice, but I wouldn't wear either to a wedding. What else have you got in your wardrobe?

RedastheRose · 18/07/2017 23:22

Personally neither, first one to short and skimpy, second one not at all suitable for a wedding imho. Sorry, think you need a third option.

BatmansPrettierSidekick · 18/07/2017 23:23

My friends and I often swap evening wear or wedding outfits as they're never used that much anyway. Could you call a friend for options?

If not then the first dress with a nice cardigan over the top

BackforGood · 18/07/2017 23:26

Agree with everyone else. Neither.
Go borrow from someone, or mooch round the charity shops.
You can do a lot better.
Really, the short one is entirely wrong - nowhere near enough of it for a wedding outfit, and the long one is evening wear. Very nice, but evening wear.

Weddingoutfit · 18/07/2017 23:34

I have another option from a friend but she is very booby so the pic doesn't do it justice, and we totally have different body shapes

OP posts:
Weddingoutfit · 18/07/2017 23:38

This is the other option. But on me the boobs wouldn't be on show.
