Recommend a lip balm please

Been using the little tins of Vaseline for years but recently don't seem to be making any difference and my lips are still as dry after the Vaseline has worn off.

Recommend me some good balms/salves please.

If my lips get sore and chapped I use Carmex. But everyday I use Dior Glow, which is ruinously expensive, but keeps them soft and gives a bit of colour.

It is so thick but I like to put a good layer on at night if my lips feel dry but like a mask and I can still feel it there in the morning
It is completely matte so I like wearing it under lipstick too

You probably need a waxy one-my go to is Carmex, I was bought some Jack Wills ones and they are very good too.

I use the blistex daily lip conditioner, in the little pot. Very good even on lips so dry they're bleeding. Got me through a harsh winter in a cold part of the country!

I have dozens of tubes of Eight Hour Cream Skin Protectant by Elizabeth Arden which I use as a lip balm. Couldn't live without the stuff! But does smell a bit like fly spray...

Body shop hemp lip balm. .

Vaseline doesn't moisturise, it just sits in a layer on your lips. Try Carmex, it contains salicilic acid to actually get rid of the dead skin. Comes in lots of good flavours and is cheap & available everywhere.

Burts bees

Vaseline is just a barrier cream, try Burts Bees at night & I use the Body Shop's Born Lippy in the sticks for a bit of colour & a day balm.

I recommend body shop hemp lip balm to clients- it really is very good

I use Carmex Vanilla lip balm. Only need a little bit and it lasts for a few hours. It has a lasting effect as my lips don't go dry if I forget to put it on.

I used to use Vaseline but I felt like I became immune to it and the more i used it the dryer my lips were if I didn't put any on.

I have read that Carmex contain salicylic acid, which dries out your lip

lips. I have used various lip balms and some of them are drying. I use Chapstick because they are tinted and find them OK.

Get yourself a tube of Lansinoh nipple cream - a few pounds more than a normal lip balm but works brilliantly, lasts forever and can also be used on other dry/sore bits. Same idea as Lanolips which is very good but even more expensive.

I like neutrogena, ideally the kind with the twisty part at the top near the actual stuff and I also use nivea hydro care - both with spf. I also use EA 8hr cream from the tube as mentioned by mrslebon but only at night; it does smell medicinal. EA cream comes in sticks but is not as good in that formulation.
I have tried but will not bother again with blistex lip brilliance (shiny pink colour) and maybelline baby lips (peach kiss colour). Both are 'sweet' which leads to lip licking which just defeats the purpose and in the end the colouring was annoying.
Burt's Bees (I used to do their pre-printing; I met Burt's son!) from my homestate has some (mint?) oil in it which irritates my lips and makes them burn.

Nuxe in the little glass pot. This is brilliant stuff and genuinely seems to provide lasting moisture. Vaseline only makes my lips feel ok when freshly applied.

E.L.F lip exfoliator combined with balm. It has the best balm I've ever used.

Carmex is fantastic, would definitely recommend that. But my absolute favourite is L'Occitane Rose lip balm. At £9 a tube it's not cheap but it lasts for ever and being pink tinted you look more made up (I've had quite a few compliments on it)

Lanolips lemonaid is really very lovely. It lasts ages too it is pricey but you're worth it

Burts bees, lansinoh/lanolips or Lush ultrabalm if you want vegan - all of these are based on oils which can be absorbed by the skin and hence actually do some repair work.

Vasaline (which I too used for years) is based on petro-chemicals, which just sit in a layer on your skin and cannot be absorbed. So it provides some kind of protection that way, but for me the more I thought about petro-chemicals near my mouth the grosser it seemed....
