Please tell me this outfit looks ok?

I'm off out on Saturday night. It's a sit down dinner and dance thing but not too smart as it's a football do.

I've spent ages trying on things I've ordered only to send them back as they just don't suit me. So I've decided to stick to stuff I already own.

I haven't worn this top for ages and I'm not sure it looks ok, I like the colour with the silver shoes/bag but not too sure on the shape of it.

I need something that covers my belly as it is huge and I look 7 months pg, (I'm not exaggerating)

It's either this top or a looser coral one which I love but not sure about with silver shoes.

I'm at the point of not going because I've stressed out so much about it. Please help!

Honestly op? I think you look much bigger in the coral top, by about two sizes. You look lovely in the black and much slimmer.

I like the blue top. The trousers look fine, I don't think they look too tight.

You will be roasting hot in skinny jeans, I speak from experience, legs bloat in this weather and you may feel uncomfortable especially if it is a sit down affair. I bought some culottes the other day and they were so comfortable and flattering. I think they would work with the coral top, lovely shoes and bag. Could you take those with you and try on a few culottes to see if they would look alright? Take a photo in the changing room and check in with the netters for their opinion

Black skinny jeans look great and the coral top looks flattering and summery. The shoes look lovely too.

Both look good. I like the coral for a bit of summery colour though, the dark top in winter.

And please ignore the cullottes or palazzo suggestions. Palazzo would look daft - loose top with loose trousers is only ever flattering on a few people. Cullottes look ridiculous on everyone!

What dress size and body shape are you OP? Purely out of interest because you look similar to me in the pics and I think what you're wearing looks great. (I have a lot of trouble with going out clothes feeling unflattering so am looking for inspiration). The coral looks best - gorgeous.

I think you look great in either, I think I prefer the coral though - I love coral in summer! .

I'm wearing black skinnies at the weekend when I go out and I don't think it will be too hot. I'm always cold though!

I also think that wearing wide legs with a floaty top would absolutely swamp you and make you look bigger. No no no to that suggestion!

I like both tops but prefer the dark one. However as a PP said, navy and black together doesnt work for me. Shoes are fab.

I also think the trousers look fine. Your legs seem similar to mine chunky and I can never get skinnies to give me that elegant willowy look. But the heels elongate your legs and they look great. IMO (and experience) wide leg trousers will just make you look big.

I like the skinnies - wide leg and floaty top would be shapeless

Try rolling your jeans a little so it exposes the shoes a little more rather than sitting on them. With some of my shoes/boots it's made a difference to the overall look

I think both look great. The skinnies are much better than palazzo pants. Very few can look good in those. Floaty top and floaty trousers would make me look like a house.

Still think skinny jeans look terrible on anyone bigger than a size 6 (which includes me btw!) Like exploded sausages. You still need something with shape/tailoring though, agree with PP's on that.

Hairq I'm a size 12/14, 5'3 1/2 and carry a lot of weight on my lower belly. I have short legs but have a decent arse, I'm weirdly slim around my rib cage and have good tits but can't ever show them off as I'm yet to find a top that makes them look good but still disguises my belly.

The coral top is from Apricot but it's about 4 years old. I wear it all the time as it's the only thing I've found that's flattering.

I didn't really want to wear it yet again and wanted something new for this do but after trying on sooooo many different styles of trousers and unflattering tops I've given up.

I'm glad everyone things I look ok in the second outfit, I know the jeans aren't the best but I've run out of time to find any better trousers and I'm beginning to doubt any exist

I was all ready to choose the darker top because I like the black and navy combo BUT I love the coral one!
Shoes etc fab.

I think the coral top looks fab, if you wear it frequently you'll feel more comfortable.

Coral and silver are gorgeous combination.

I prefer your silhouette in the dark top. It gives a more flattering line and the dark combo looks more dressy.

Whichever you opt for, the shoes and handbag look great with either outfit.
