So I have a month to go before I have to lie by the swimming pool in Italy and I look about as chubby and pasty as I have ever looked. Does anyone want to come with me on a journey towards full gorgeousness? Grooming n weight loss n that?

Thanks Sweetheart, what do you mean by 'trip up a core?'. I am on a diet but clearly need to tone my stomach specifically!

I finally had my "Aha" moment when we went away for our anniversary last weekend. DH had booked us a surprise trip to a BEAUTIFUL hotel, and it was great, except I was miserable inside thinking of all the clothes I could've worn if I hadn't got so fat.

So at the breakfast buffet Sunday morning, I thought: "Nope, healthy now. Just not worth eating the fattening crap." I swerved the full English and had fresh fruit and black coffee!

Since then, I've not drunk any booze, been following the Scarsdale Diet to the letter, and I feel GREAT. No thinner yet, but the food is all fresh, healthy, unprocessed fruit, veg, meat and fish, so I'm undoubtedly boosting my health.

I've also been massaging pure Almond Oil into my face and neck every night. I read about a hand model who used it religiously to keep her skin smooth. I have to say, it's erased loads of wrinkles and I'm all glowy.

Love this thread - keep on beautifying!

Sorry I meant trim not trip.

A few weeks to go until my hols and I downloaded three free apps-30 day butt challenge, 30 day arm challenge and 30 day ab challenge. They don't take long and I'm hoping to see some change over the 30 days (got to admit that a peek at where I should be at the end of the 30 days terrifies me-how many crunches)??????? I've lost quite a bit of weight and need to get toned up!
Working on getting my feet pretty too-I have the Scholl gadget to get the hard skin off and keep it off and I'm slathering body lotion on all over every day (OK, when I have time/remember...)

What a lovely idea - DCs break up for summer today and I am so excited! We have a super busy summer with house move in 2.5 weeks, then living like a nomad with weeks in London / weekends at my parents whilst the boys do an intensive summer school and then at the end - joy of joys, a week in Corsica. I am super stressed as we're finishing a long building project and I am a stone overweight, pasty, flabby and very hairy! I feel as if this summer is my project too!

I am just about to start the 8 Week Blood Sugar Diet and see someone has done that upthread. Any advice???

So motivating, thanks OP. :)

sweetheart · 07/07/2017 15:34

I've just booked my pre-holiday eyelash tint and perm. Still spending more time that I ever have applying moisturizer to various body parts and plan to use the beautiful weather this weekend to top up my base tan. 3 gym classes booked this weekend too. Roll on holiday!

BoffinMum · 07/07/2017 17:26

I have done a workout today which included interval running of 7.5 minutes, not bad for someone with a hip condition.

My base tan is looking good. Someone asked today if I had already been on holiday Grin

Have just had a trial gel French manicure today, and it's pretty good but I don't love it. But...it looks far, far better than my own bitten nails Blush So think I will have a French again just before we fly.

At least it will go with everything I will be wearing Smile

Really, really wish my Italy cloths were arriving before we fly Angry

Passthecake30 · 07/07/2017 20:27

I've had a couple of days off the wagon.... but I am thinking toned thoughts and sucking my abs in while sitting up straight. Every little helps eh?

Passthecake30 · 09/07/2017 19:22

My bikinis arrived, from curvy Kate, they are keepers, fab fit and my confidence is much improved with support and boosting of my boobsSmile

MaQueen · 09/07/2017 19:52

Yesterday, I picked up some beautiful, silk harem pants from All Saints (charity shop bargin) in a deep olive/bronze colour. They are surprisingly flattering and will look great teamed with a simple black vest top and my neutral wedges Smile

Lanaa · 09/07/2017 22:06

Ooohhjj can I join please? I have about a month until we fly and I need to do everything. I'm massively overweight but following low carb boot amp. I haven't lost a huge amount of lbs (fifteen in five weeks) but my body seems to have reshaped and got a lot smaller. V pleased.

I've got some Italy cloths and I used them
For the first time this morning. I am amazed at how smooth my skin is. We had a family do today and I spent most of the time inviting people to stroke my arm and marvel! To the post that is waiting for some - try eBay. Mine came in about two days.

I've booked microblading for Tuesday. My brows are non existent and I don't want to spend all holiday worrying about them sliding down my face. Slightly nervous but it should look good.

Has anyone got the semi permanent lash extensions? I'm going to add them to my list.

sweetheart · 10/07/2017 13:23

ive had semi perm lashes - I wouldn't have them on a holiday if you are going to be in and out the pool - they can be a bit of a faff. you're not supposed to rub your eyes or get them wet too often. I'm having a last tint and lift instead.

Been using exfoliating gloves on my thighs in the shower almost every day for a few weeks followed by the Nivea Q10 cream but dissapointed to say I haven't noticed any improvement in my cellulite - any other suggestions? i've got 2.5 weeks until I go away.

tan base is coming along quite nicely - apart from my pasty white legs.

Got 13 gym classes booked this week - hoping to make at least 10 of them! I will still be overweight but hopefully I'll be overweight and a bit more toned up!

Been a little bit naughty food wise this weekend but stayed off the booze, back on the full diet wagon today and another non booze weekend next weekend too!

Liz38 · 10/07/2017 16:09

This is turning out to be pricey! It's so much easier to spend than it is to put some effort in Blush. I've booked an eyebrow tint and reshape and a bikini wax. I've bought a new bra that won't show through two light coloured summer dresses. I started running again and remembered that i stopped among other reasons because my shoes give me blisters so I've bought more running shoes. And I'm back to logging everything i eat to shame myself into leaving some of it out. I did look at the LCBC threads but i was eating a pea and bean salad followed by cherries at the time so it may not be for me! A month to go so all is not lost.

LazyDailyMailJournos · 10/07/2017 20:58

2 months until we go. I'm already low carbing and have lost almost a stone so far - many, many more to go though! I'm hoping to have another stone off by the time we go. I'll not be slim by any stretch of the imagination, but I'm hoping that I will be able to fit back into some of the lovely summer clothes I already have.

I need to charge my Lumea and get into the swing of using it. I've just ordered some of the Korean cloths so am hoping they will help with my KP and skin smoothness. I use Boots Soltan fake tan mousse and I find it works pretty well. You can get back applicators if you need them - I have a back scrubber and I just stick my fake tan mitt over it Grin

sweetheart · 12/07/2017 09:46

Question for you - what do you put on in terms of makeup on holiday? I use a a No7 foundation at home which is very light and has an spf in it to even out my skin tone but think it's too much for holiday skin.

I need perhaps a very light tinted moisturizer or serum or something. Any ideas?

MaQueen · 12/07/2017 11:06

sweet this holiday I am opting for Clinique's CC cream which is very light and sheer.

A By Terry waterproof eyeliner in a very dark brown/bronze (think black is too harsh for hols).

Clinique chubby stick moisturizing lip balm in Curvy Candy & Woppin' Watermelon.

Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse Dry Oil for body.

Having eyelashes tinted and permed next week so still debating whether to take a waterproof mascara too.

sweetheart · 12/07/2017 13:57

What are CC & BB Creams? Confused

LazyDailyMailJournos · 12/07/2017 18:55

It's very hot where we go, so I wear minimal makeup because it just slides straight off again. I get my eyebrows tinted before we travel, a bit of concealer over any blemishes, a dusting of translucent powder to take the shine off, then mascara and a bit of lip balm. It's too bloody hot to bother with anything more!

MaQueen · 12/07/2017 19:10

I'll only bother with the CC cream when we're in the hotel as it's all air-con. But if we're out and about I'll just go bare-faced as it will probably be too hot.

MaQueen · 12/07/2017 19:11

sweet BB and CC creams are sort of like very sheer primers, I think? They sort of soften any fine lines or blemishes and just even out skin tone etc.

Passthecake30 · 12/07/2017 20:16

I'm lazy with the makeup, just mascara and tinted lipgloss in the evening.

MollyWantsACracker · 13/07/2017 09:53

What's the difference between BB and CC creams?? 🤓

sweetheart · 13/07/2017 10:56

Ok I had to google.....

BB Cream
a cosmetic product with a creamy formulation, typically lighter in texture than foundation, used to even out facial skin tone.

CC Cream
a cosmetic product with a creamy formulation, typically lighter in texture than foundation, used to even out facial skin tone.

Still none the wise Grin
