I'm not bad looking from the front . I'm a solid 7 and a half out of 10 with my make up on and a flattering outfit. But sweet holy lord, I am ugly in profile! I forget this until I go in change my rooms that have mirrors on all the walls, and then I see the full horror - double chin, witchy nose, matronly body shape (looks kind of sexy curvy from the front but I just look like my mum from the side). Ugh. Please tell me it's not just me.

This is why I never use changing rooms. I am tall so I can carry a bit of extra timber since having DD four years ago but from the side I look extremely thick round the middle.

Changing rooms are pretty grim anyway aren't they? I'm not keen on how I look in them at all, but the side view is a shocker. Even my hair looks bloody terrible from the side. I And out of one yesterday wondering how I could have ever thought I was fit to leave the house.

Nah, I look better from the side. Have rather a big nose BUT my face is a bit asymmetrical so can look wonky front-on. And I have wideish hips but a slim flat stomach, so look lovely and slim/curvy from the side but a bit bigger from the front.

I have slight Bubba lips (as in Bubba from Forrest Gump). From the front it's not very noticeable, but from the side it's all I can see Blush

I'm not great looking from the front, but hey, it is what it is..but I am still always shocked when I see my face from the side. It's very, very bad. Despair!

Was hoping someone sciency was going to come on and say something clever and reassuring about side profiles in changing room mirrors. Something to do with physics and our true image being distorted.

I too am awful from the side, like a hawk, a crow and zelda all jumbled together. I have no angles, just a jaw line with a wattle running along and down to my chin. My nose is massive AND pointy. I am hunched and look the size that I truly am. From the front I have a chin and a nose that passes for that and not a beak.

Still, I'm not bitter Grin

Me too. From the front I can just about handle it but all I see with side view is a double chin and a massive greasy nose.

Why are we so hard on ourselves? Smile

I always admire profiles , I always notice if someone has a pretty profile because mine is awful . I'm ok ish from the front but side of yuck !

Ahhhh my people! I still remember the pain when I was 16 at catching myself in my grandmas triptych mirror and seeing the reality of my profile. I'm all nose and cheekbone and chin (was multiple now just turkey neck).

I also have the curvy body issue - sexy from the front, pregnant from the side.

I'm definitely fatter from the side, from the front I look relatively slim as I have no hips. I carry all my weight on my tummy.
And I'm all double chin and big nose from the side.
I don't have pictures taken of me in case a glimpse is caught from the side, I am only happy with my appearance head on in the mirror.

I hear ya! I think I look average to relatively attractive from the front, but if I see a photo of me in profile, GAH! I have a massive square expanse of cheek, a weirdly straight, short nose and poochy, protuberant chin. My mouth and eyes suddenly shrink too.

Maybe we're not as bad as we think? I never think other women look as crap as I do from the side, so the chances are we've seen each other at some stage and thought each other looked normal.
