Bought this dress for work and general stuff like going for a drink. Can I ask what you think?

It's kind of denimy at the back. Also ignore the wallpaper. Not my choice!

It's ok, but I don't really like big flowers.
Would be too casual for my work, but ok for going to pub.

Intransige · 03/06/2017 21:44

I don't think it's very flattering. Something about the shape isn't working.

BabyLedWhining · 03/06/2017 21:44

I think it's really nice Smile

lostlalaloopsy · 03/06/2017 21:45

It's really nice - where's it from?

SansaClegane · 03/06/2017 21:46

Would be a no from me; the big flowery patterns seem to instantly add 10 years to your age.

myusernameisnotmyusername · 03/06/2017 21:46

Thank you. My work is quite casual. This is probably quite smart for them! I know I need to wear my 'suck in pants' with it.

From Joules.

The flowers put me off at first but then I have tried it on a lot since.

OP posts:
BuzzKillington · 03/06/2017 21:47

Not flattering. Sorry.

MrsBadger · 03/06/2017 21:49

Not for me. Too flowery and not enough waist.

PUGaLUGS · 03/06/2017 21:49

I don't like it.

user1480334601 · 03/06/2017 21:49

Nice summery dress :) I like it

BabyLedWhining · 03/06/2017 21:49

I think the dress is a good fit and flattering, you seem to be in an odd position because of the camera angle, that's all.

ThistleofIona · 03/06/2017 21:52

Nice. VERY Joules.

boggedoff · 03/06/2017 21:52

it's pretty inoffensive but I would add some bold jewellery to complement it, perhaps some bright bangles?

TheFirstMrsDV · 03/06/2017 21:53

I don't like it at all but that is an entirely personal opinion.
I wouldn't point and laugh if I saw you in the street, I just wouldn't buy it myself Grin

I don't like florals overlaid on stripes. I am very fond of stripes on their own. The back being yet another fabric puts me off further.

It looks absolutely fine on you though. If you like it, wear it.

troodiedoo · 03/06/2017 21:55

It's lovely and flattering. I would be careful with shoes and accessories though, keep it fresh.

Loyly · 03/06/2017 21:58

I don't like it at all and it's shapeless, sorry.

myusernameisnotmyusername · 03/06/2017 21:58

I was just going to wear some white flats I have.

Thanks babyledwhining you are right.

OP posts:
Herestonevergrowingup · 03/06/2017 22:01

Ok for sunbathing in the garden but not keen otherwise sorry.

maudismyfavouritepony · 03/06/2017 22:02

The colour is a bit meh, does it make your eyes sparkle when you put the fabric near your face?

myusernameisnotmyusername · 03/06/2017 22:14

Not sure really? It's white with grey stripes and then the pattern obviously pink flowers.

AintNobodyHereButUsKittens · 03/06/2017 22:17

I think it's fine - from another angle it will flatter your rather good legs. Would be way too casual for my work but I'd like it for weekends.
