WHICH WEDDING DRESS?! Pics!!!

weddingdressstress · 30/05/2017 12:48

Help me MN!

My partner and I are getting married this weekend (!!!!!!) in his parents garden. We've been together 4 years but I'm now 13 weeks pregnant so want our family to be "official" and also I'm an EU citizen so a bit worried about Brexit. We only decided to get married about 8 weeks ago so it's very low-key, informal and intimate with around 20 guests.

Still don't know which dress to wear. Do I go for the gown option or the hippy option with which I'd wear a flower crown with. I love both styles and really don't know which to pick!

Please help me decide!!

One looks great on you. I honestly thought the second one was a wrong photo mistake where you were in your under-slip and just taking pictures to check the angles were right for your selfies. Please don't go out in public in two, especially not to your wedding.

Congratulations - you will look gorgeous in one.

NotHotDogMum · 30/05/2017 16:31

@Minionsyou it's a choice between the two if you were going to slate both options why even comment?

OP you look beautiful in dress number 1, have a lovely day

noenemee · 30/05/2017 16:35

You might get away with No 2 at a festival accessorized with a flower crown and wellies, but in all honesty it looks like a kitchen apron and does you no favours. I don't mind a hippy vibe at all, with hair to match, but I think you'd look back and be disappointed.

Option 1 is stunning with your figure and if you go with a loose posy of meadow type flowers with the same in your hair, it'll give it a less formal look.

Just an aside, are you having a legal ceremony before and then the celebration in the garden?

mrsBeverleygoldberg · 30/05/2017 16:37

Dress one made me gasp! You look stunning in it. Really beautiful. The detail and shape are gorgeous.
Dress two looks more like a pillow case. Don't wear it please. Not bridal at all.

Bibs2014 · 30/05/2017 16:37

Number 1!!!

LastSummerWine · 30/05/2017 16:38

I can only see one dress.

mrsBeverleygoldberg · 30/05/2017 16:39

I think number one can be worn with a flower crown. The skirt is so floaty I think it will look good.

NoncommittalToSparkleMotion · 30/05/2017 16:42

Number 1!

Congratulations! Flowers

Redglitter · 30/05/2017 16:49

Dress one is absolutely stunning. Dress two - words fail me it's hideous.

No contest definitely that gorgeous gown and will be beautiful with a floral crown

TotallyConkers · 30/05/2017 16:51

Sorry OP I thought you were joking with picture number 2 Grin

Definitely wear number 1, you look stunning in it.

flumpybear · 30/05/2017 16:52

Definitely 1 ..... quite hippy anyway with daisies and a bit see through Wink

Madbengalmum · 30/05/2017 16:53

Number 2 is hideous!
Number 1 looks great.

RebeccaJane12 · 30/05/2017 16:56

The gown is beautiful. You look amazing! Congratulations!

Sidge · 30/05/2017 16:57

Errr definitely number 1.

If you wear number 2 guests will think you've forgotten to get dressed and be very worried about you.

Have a lovely day Flowers

Bombardier25966 · 30/05/2017 17:04

No 1 has a lovely top half but the skirt part is like a pair of net curtains.

No 2 ... erm, no.

It's one of the biggest days of your life. Don't compromise, go shopping, find the dress of your dreams.

caffelatte100 · 30/05/2017 17:11

No 1, like everyone said. You look beautiful in it!

Wear the second one in bed!!!

mrsmildred · 30/05/2017 17:14

OP, apart from anything else, I think you are being hugely optimistic about the weather in this country for wearing option 2. At best, you're looking at low-mid 20s temp, and even then you'd have to have a cloudless sky and no breeze to get away with something that skimpy and not feel under dressed.

Imagine wearing it on a grey rainy day, a chill wind, blue, goose bumpy legs and arms and a dripping, wilting garland of soggy flowers sticking to your head.

OPTION ONE. (then go to Ibiza for a post baby chill out and wear option two then).

Polly2345 · 30/05/2017 17:14

No 1 is lovely. Wear the crown of flowers with that.

nameohnameohname · 30/05/2017 17:15

No 1 for the wedding. No 2 for sex!

Algebraic · 30/05/2017 17:23

The gown for sure! It's so beautiful and you look amazing in it. The second looks like negligee!

Lunde · 30/05/2017 17:39

Number 1 definitely - number 2 is not flattering.

If you want a more hippyish vibe then I think a flower garland would be a good plan and possibly a wildflower or informal style bouquet

pieceofpurplesky · 30/05/2017 17:40

You have the sort of figure that could carry off anything - but I think you would regret 2 as it is not quite special enough. I am a free spirit (and nowhere near as gorgeous as you / I think my thigh may be wider than your waist these daysConfused) but that is a step too far.

pieceofpurplesky · 30/05/2017 17:42

Also if in a garden go bear footed with toe rings and ankle chains - and flowers in your hair

pieceofpurplesky · 30/05/2017 17:42

Ahhhh bare

ShinyGirl · 30/05/2017 17:46

Number 1, the second one looks like a slip.
