Desperate for the best thing for sore lips

Absolutely desperate for the best thing for constantly dry and sore lips. Particularly at the corners currently. I use vaseline constantly and have tried pretty much everything else I can find.
Any recommendations?!

Blistex works the best for me

Blistex relief cream - the one in the metal tube - you can't beat it!

This worked for me. I'd been using eos balm (the cute round ones) and my lips reacted really badly to it-they peeled,cracked and bled. This paw paw balm from boots worked wonders.

Lanolin (nipple cream) www.lansinoh.co.uk/products/hpa-lanolin put it on at night as pretty sticky but works wonders overnight!

If you have recurring sore and cracked corners of your mouth, you could try some Canister (can sometimes be thrush) or see your GP to consider blood tests for Vit B12.

Other than that I rate Epaderm, Nivea lip salve and rosehip oil.

Nuxe reve de miel works wonders for me.

Second the Papaya Gold paw paw ointment. Only thing that works for me.

Elizabeth Arden 8 hour cream

I swear by Dr Organics lip balms they are stocked in Holland and Barrett a lot of other lip balms contain petroleum which can be drying so can actually make the problem worse. Apparently it's good a keeping mouisture in not a mouisturising if for any reason I use something with petroleum in do notice my lips feel worse.

I'm currently obsessed with Nuxe @ M&S. Tiny amount of oil in the bath is amazing. Hand cream and lip balm also really nice.

Someone recommended me the nipple cream. It really is good x

Blistex medicated cream is the only thing I can put on my lips. Lipsticks are fine but all lip balms make my lips sore and swollen. I look like I've been stung by something if I put on lip balm but strangely lipsticks have no effect whatsoever. The Blistex medicated is the only thing that clears them up.

Vaseline in the corners before you go to bed (night time drools make that worse, so the Vaseline serves as a barrier).

Then blistex relief cream for during the day. It's medicated and works wonders.

I have chronically dry lips and the combo above is the only thing that helps.

Cracked corners of your mouth are a sign of b12 deficiency - see yr dr

Avoid petroleum based products and try and stick to emollients that add moisture as well as protecting like the blister cream.

Coconut oil may also help

Blistex really does work but it makes my lips really tingle and it borders on the painful when my lips are already sore.

I like aquaphor. I bought it on Amazon on the back of a similar thread. Very gentle but really does the trick. Vaseline, lip balm or anything petroleum based does nothing for my lips.

Definitely blistex, the only thing that works on me, I find Vaseline useless for hydration, but it's good for a preventative measure.

i have some shea butter in a tin...it was in a boots christmas thing, that's lovely.

I keep getting this at the moment, it's really annoying, so I'm now wondering if I have some sort of vitamin deficiency 😕.

I use Vaseline all the time as it's great for my hands and nails but it seems to do bugger all for my lips .

Have you tried changing your toothpaste? I have noticed that some of the whitening ones exacerbate my dry and cracked lips. Seconding the recommendation for Nuxe lip balm. You can buy it in the beauty section of larger M&S stores.

Lanolips - I had a problem for years until I used this - it is brilliant. All natural as it is simply lanolin from sheep's wool. It is hard in the tube and needs warming to make it usable - I put it on a radiator or rub it in my hands ; but I cannot praise it too highly.
