I'm a dye refusnik, as I can't bear the thought of being on a treadmill of root-re-dying. Although I am getting a bit pepper-and-salt at the back, the front is still nicely brown, and that's the bit I see in the mirror.
However, as a little experiment I bought this shampoo-in hair colour in Boots last weekend - it's supposed to last three washes, and it will be interesting to see if it covers up any of the grey. Remember Shaders and Toners? I guess this is today's version.
BD - glad you are feeling positive about your interview, and trust you are putting the world to rights over a cocktail or two at this very moment.
Herbs - have a lovely weekend with your little angel chorister.
Hatty - I too sometimes want to stick my head in a bucket where tech is concerned. It dawned on my yesterday, when our WiFi Booster was playing up, that I cannot remember how on earth I set it up in the first place. I'm pretty sure it was trial and error and I've no hope of replicating what I did. Today at work I was wrestling with setting up a new mobile phone for one of the directors - he really is a technological dinosaur so I had no choice but to sort him out, but it took me ages, and there was much swearing and stabbing of touchscreens.
Actually, a pretty crap day at work all in all - mental busy, everyone stressed, and I seem to be coming down with DS's cold just in time for the Bank Holiday. I also had a call from DS's HoY asking politely why DS wasn't in school today. He was sat at home in his PJs; for some reason he thought his Media teacher had told him today's lesson was cancelled, whereas in fact she had told the class that today's lesson would be replaced by a mock exam. But old Cloth Ears was clearly engrossed in something other than listening to the teacher. Anyway, I have given HoY free reign to apply his Size 9s to DS's rear when he sees him next week, not just about this but about his general lack of "commitment to learning". Less than three weeks to go before AS, and he is averaging about 30 minutes study a day, as far as I can tell. Not remotely enough.
Watched the dress rehearsal for DD1's GCSE Drama performance last night, and she did very well. She had to slap someone round the face, and later on assist with an abortion. I can't remember my school plays being quite so gritty....
