According to the bra intervention I'm a 32GG?

Can this be right? Pregnant so they are bigger, but this feels extreme. Going to try on a few new bras today. I was/am a 34D.

About the same size as my dd (32 f) then - no not extreme.

ShowOfHands · 09/04/2017 11:55

I'm a 28 E. Doesn't sound extreme once you get used to it.

The issue is getting bras that fit.

Maudlinmaud · 09/04/2017 11:59

Mine got redic during pregnancy and breastfeeding. I could put my entire head inside one cup. Back now to 30e.
The bra intervention is usually spot on.

Floisme · 09/04/2017 12:01

I was wearing 32A and got fitted in 28F and 28FF so no, that sounds normal Grin It's made a huge difference for me and I find even cheap clothes hang much better.

happypoobum · 09/04/2017 12:13

I am a 32GG. It makes such a difference having the right size bra.

No more back straps sliding up to your shoulder blades, no droopage Grin

RedMetamorphosis · 09/04/2017 13:37

I went from a 34DD to a 32GG/H.

Instantly my clothes fit better, I felt my posture change and looked slimmer.

I'm a size 10-12 and they don't look massively ridiculous on my frame as they sound.

RyanStartedTheFire · 09/04/2017 13:57

I'm a 28KK Shock previously a 34G. The difference is amazing.

theclick · 09/04/2017 20:01

I went to try on some bras today and couldn't event find any in that size in Marks or Primark!

No, you won't. You need a department store or a bravissimo.

PrimalChic · 09/04/2017 20:23

I used to wear a 34D. I've just bought a 30F from Pour Moi! If I'm I go to M&S there's very little stock in a size that fits.

theclick · 09/04/2017 20:24

I need to at least try a 32GG before buying though!!

fizzicles · 09/04/2017 20:26

Debenhams often have a good range in bigger sizes, Bravissimo are excellent if you are anywhere near one

OdinsLoveChild · 09/04/2017 20:31

I had been wearing a 36DD but now wear a 30G. Its wonderful to wear a bra that actually fits properly and provides a wonderful lift and sculpt.

I think that they will find there are more larger bust women around than previously thought. Everyone I know who has done the bra intervention has gone up to larger cup sizes most in excess of DD cup.

PickAChew · 09/04/2017 20:33

You can order from brastop, try on at home, and return ones that are no good, for free.

celeryisnotasuperfood · 09/04/2017 20:43

I started of as a 36c before pregnancy. Finally with a 10 month old I re measured myself using the new method - am a 30gg!

Def recommend brastop website. Small hiccup in that I was sent the non nursing version of the bra I wanted but sorted out very smoothly at no extra cost.

Oh and I tried it on anyway and yes couldn't believe that 30gg felt right!

KanyesVest · 09/04/2017 20:45

Debenhams does 32gg, I'm wearing one!

BagelGoesWalking · 10/04/2017 18:41

Finally got round to do some sho pping. I've gone from a 36B to a 34D! According to measurements, I should be a 30/32D or DD but the 32 still feels really tight (probably because I'm so used to wearing it too loose)

Never imagined I'd be a D - I've always worn a B cup but I must say the new one feels really comfortable, as there's just a bit more material to cover the sides as well as further up your boobs (if that makes sense!).

Thanks married Grin

Shamoffour · 10/04/2017 21:01

I'm a 32g john Lewis and debenhams stock them.

treaclesoda · 10/04/2017 21:04

Debenhams stock loads in 32GG if you want to try on in store.

Badhairday1001 · 10/04/2017 21:04

I've gone from a 38b to a 36DD. I have been so uncomfortable in bras for ages, it was really frustrating, unsurprisingly because they were completely the wrong size. So much more comfortable and lifted now, it's been a transformation!

AnyFucker · 10/04/2017 21:05

I went from 34B to 32DD in one fell swoop Smile

zonkin · 10/04/2017 21:20

I'm a 32GG. For years I had been going for bigger back size and smaller cup. It has made such a difference. My back no longer hurts and my boobs look great (until I take the bra off!)

Figleaves stock these sizes and have a good returns policy.

Housewife2010 · 10/04/2017 23:23

I haven't done the bra intervention yet. When you go down a few back sizes, is it comfortable? Im wearing 38C, but the monent I put on more weight, my chest band really digs in. I'm concerned that if I went down a back size or more that I would be in pain.

marriednotdead · 10/04/2017 23:39

Nice one Bagel Grin

Housewife, if there's enough room for your breasts to completely fit in the cups, the band will sit comfortably on your ribs. At the moment, they're probably competing for space.

BagelGoesWalking · 10/04/2017 23:42

I've gone from a 36 to a 34, I must admit the 32 was too tight (only tried on 2 styles though, I'm sure they vary even if label says same size).

I think I probably am a 32 but I've got so used to wearing them very loose for many years, it feels too constricted now. I might try some 32s in a couple of months when I've got used to the 34. I just bought a couple of cheap Sainsbury's ones for now, although I'm pleased with their fit!
